Vodka is one of the most popular characters in Umamusume: Pretty Derby for new trainers, but many players have a hard time winning with her. Vodka has a very specific racing style in Umamusume, and she'll perform exceptionally well if you build a solid Support Card deck that plays to her strengths.
Vodka specializes in Mile/Medium distance races. She's primarily a Late Surger, but she can also have some success as a Pace Chaser with the right training regimen. Vodka's skills make her a late-game powerhouse that can push past everyone else at the last second, but that strategy requires a lot of planning ahead of time. Here's what you need to know to successfully train Vodka in Umamusume: Pretty Derby.
Umamusume: Pretty Derby - Haru Urara Build and Stats Guide
Haru Urara is one of the most popular Umamusume characters, and she's a solid late-race runner that can pull off some exciting victories.
Best Stats for Vodka in Umamusume
Whether you decide to build Vodka as a Late Surger or a Pace Chaser, her recommended stat lineup remains the same. As is the case with most other Umamusume, Vodka's primary stat is Speed. Put as many points into it as you can, and bring some Legacy Umamusume with Speed Sparks to give her a boost at the start of her career.
Power is Vodka's second most important stat, and you should be spamming Power training whenever you're not building Speed. As either a Late Surger or a Pace Chaser, Vodka has to pass a bunch of other racers to win. That's what Power is there for, and she gets a 20% growth rate bonus for Power training to make things even easier. Some Guts training helps here, too, but don't devote too much time to it.
Stamina is pretty important for Vodka, but not as much as you might think. Most of her career will be Mile races, but you'll need some Stamina to keep her going during Medium races. You should aim for roughly 500 Stamina by the end of Vodka's career, but you can get away with a little less if you have enough energy restoration skills. It's also a good idea to use Legacy Umamusume with some Stamina to pass on to Vodka so you can spend more time focusing on Speed and Power.
Vodka's Wit doesn't need to be that high. As long as you have 200-300 Wit, she'll use her skills fairly often. It doesn't hurt to add a few more Wit training days if Vodka is having a hard time pulling off her skills during your run, though.
Best Support Cards for Vodka
The best Support Card deck for Vodka in Umamusume consists of three Speed cards, two Power cards, and a Wit card. You can swap out the Wit card with either Stamina or Guts if you have strong SSR Support Cards like Super Creek in those departments.
These are some of the best Support Cards you can use with Vodka:
- Special Week (Speed)
- Gold City (Speed)
- Silence Suzuka (Speed)
- Tokai Teio (Speed)
- Nishino Flower (Speed)
- Super Creek (Stamina)
- Mayano Top Gun (Stamina)
- El Condor Pasa (Power)
- Oguri Cap (Power)
- Daikatu Helios (Power)
- Special Week (Guts)
- Meisho Doto (Guts)
- Fine Motion (Wit)
- Daiwa Scarlet (Wit)
Special Week is one of the best Support Cards for Vodka since she has a ton of Stamina recovery skills that will help her stay in the running. Super Creek also fits that role if you're lucky enough to have her. El Condor Pasa and Oguri Cap are also two strong Power options since their skill lists cater to Mile and Medium races, the perfect pair for Vodka. If you don't have any of these Support Cards, then keep an eye out for cards with the skills listed below.

There may be better Pace Chasers out there, but Vodka is a favorite among Umamusume trainers for a reason. Like Daiwa Scarlet, she's one of the best two-star SR options available to new players.
