Umamusume: Pretty Derby now has another SSR End Closer in the form of Narita Taishin, and this three-star horse girl has some great skills that make her a perfect fit for PVP Team Trials. Narita Taishin is also great for regular Umamusume careers, but she really shines on a team alongside other runners.
Narita's aptitudes and stat growth bonuses make it really easy to train her for specific strategies, but she also has a strong enough spread to fill multiple roles with the help of some Spark buffs from Legacies. Since the free Carats keep rolling in, many players are pulling on Narita Taishin's banner and adding her to their rosters. Here's the best way to train Narita Taishin to make the most of her unique skills in Umamusume: Pretty Derby.
Umamusume: Pretty Derby - Complete Training Guide
For those wondering how to train Umamusume: Pretty Derby and complete their careers, here’s a simple guide that walks you through each step.
Narita Taishin Stat Priority and Training Tips
Narita Taishin is an End Closer that specializes in Medium and Long-distance races on Turf tracks. As such, Speed and Stamina are her most important stats. She'll also need a fair amount of Power and Guts to pull ahead at the last moment, so her training regimen is much stricter than other horses.
You should aim for 1000 Speed at the minimum with Narita Taishin. Her 10% growth rate bonus will make things a bit easier for you, at least. Narita Taishin should have at least 700 Stamina as well.
Her Stamina should ideally be closer to 800 or 900, but it's better to focus more heavily on Speed and other stats and use energy recovery skills to compensate for a slightly lower Stamina stat, especially if you're building her for Medium races in PVP instead of Long-distance racing. Plus, she won't use up most of her Stamina until the final stages of a race, since she's an End Closer.
Power is a necessity for Narita Taishin; otherwise, she won't be able to catch up to the pack and take the lead at the last second. Aim for 600-700 Power with Narita Taishin. Supplement that with 300-400 Guts, and she'll do just fine as an End Closer. Her 20% growth rate bonus for Guts will make that an easy threshold to cross.
Wit is important if you want to build Narita Taishin as a debuffer, and she's one of the best choices for that role in PVP. If you want Narita Taishin to reliably activate her debuff skills, aim for 400 Wit or higher. Otherwise, you can get away with 300 Wit.
