Summary
- The Crew 2 received a massive 98% discount on PC and consoles.
- The offer, which brings the game's price down to a new all-time low of $1, is available until September 23.
- Ubisoft recently committed to bringing an offline mode to The Crew 2 so that the game can avoid the fate of its predecessor, which was previously delisted after the company ended support for it.
The Crew 2 has been discounted by 98% on both PC and consoles. This limited-time promotion brings The Crew 2 down to its lowest-ever price, but racing fans don't have a lot of time to take advantage of it.
The second numbered installment in Ubisoft's motorsport series hit the market in June 2018. Although its critical reception was mixed, the game was fairly well-received by fans, as underlined by the fact that it nowadays boasts over 71,000 "Very Positive" reviews on Valve's storefront. Its player scores were even better before late spring 2024, when some Steam users review-bombed The Crew 2 because Ubisoft decided to discontinue the 2014 entry in the series.
The Crew 2 Drops to Lowest-Ever Price Across All Platforms
The open-world racing game was treated to an enormous 98% discount in mid-September 2024. The offer applies to the PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One versions of the game's Standard Edition, which is now available for just $1. This is five times cheaper than its prior lowest price of $4.99. The catch is that there's not a lot of time to take advantage of this deal, which is set to expire in the early morning hours ET on Monday, September 23.

The Crew 2 is also currently available via PS Plus Extra and Premium, having reached Sony's subscription service back in April 2024. Anyone on the fence about parting with $1 in order to play it can also check out its free trial version, which offers several hours' worth of playing time. Progress from The Crew 2 demo can be carried over to the full version of the game.
Although Ubisoft caught a lot of heat from fans over its recent decision to discontinue the first The Crew game, this currently discounted sequel will likely avoid the same fate. As far as its multiplayer features are concerned, and if its predecessor's support is any indication, it's plausible that The Crew 2 servers won't shut down before the game is close to turning ten in 2028.
Even once that happens, The Crew 2 will remain playable. That's according to Ubisoft itself, who recently responded to the fan backlash over The Crew delisting by committing to bringing an offline mode to The Crew 2 and The Crew Motorfest. The company said this feature will be implemented for the specific purpose of ensuring "long-term access" to the latest two entries in the motorsport series.
