Two Point Hospital sequel Two Point Campus was recently released to a warm reception from fans and critics. Like its hospital-based predecessor, the game doesn't take itself too seriously and takes a sideways look at the management genre. Although the game is largely nonsensical and silly, there are still some goals and objectives for the player to aim for, such as getting as many students to graduate as possible.
A university's average grades are one of the first things that people look at when finding places to apply, so it's important to maintain a healthy pass rate. Thankfully, there are a handful of effective ways to ensure as many students graduate with good grades as possible.
Keep Them Happy
In Two Point Campus, a happy student is a productive student. In fact, happiness is one of the biggest factors in determining a student's grades, so it's vitally important to ensure that as many students have smiles on their faces as possible. The game helps players out a great deal in accomplishing this, as when the player clicks on a student, they are given a breakdown of what they're happy and unhappy about, making it easy for players to make changes.
Here are some key ways to keep students happy:
- Ensure the basics are covered, such as food, drink, and toilets
- Regularly book events
- Keep tuition fees as low as possible
- Keep the campus looking aesthetically pleasing
- Create clubs for students to join
- Complete Student Goals
Don't Be Cheap With Teachers
They say that "there's no such thing as a bad student, only a bad teacher," so it's important to think carefully when hiring. Although some teachers can be expensive, it's worth paying the extra money for the elite few that can maximize a student's potential. It's also important to keep teachers happy, to ensure that they're at their most productive, and to offer extra training to those that want it.
Frequently Improve Facilities
As well as spending plenty of money on teachers, players should also budget for regular improvements to pre-existing facilities while also always considering the possibility of expansion. Better facilities mean better grades, so it's important to pack classrooms with as much equipment as students need while also getting their prestige as high as possible.
Build Plenty Of Library Space
Libraries on campus are often packed with determined students who want to get some extra work done between classes. To help these students out, be sure to construct a generous amount of library space, hire a trustworthy library manager, and build plenty of desks and bookcases. As the campus expands, don't hesitate to construct more libraries or expand pre-existing ones substantially.
Send Struggling Students To Private Tuition
Even after doing the above things, there will still sometimes be a handful of students that are falling short of expectations. In such cases, it's worth sending them to private tuition. Private tuition isn't cheap, as a specific room and designated teacher are required. However, it's worth the money, as private tuition can be the difference between a student failing or passing.
Two Point Campus is out now on PC, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, and Nintendo Switch.
