Pokimane Reveals Why She Left Twitch

Popular content creator Pokimane opens up about the reasons that led to her departure from the Amazon-owned streaming platform Twitch.

Despite the challenges, OTK announced many projects for 2024 during its Shareholders Meeting. One of the big news was former G4 host Will Neff joining the company as its newest content creator. OTK's announcement video was a 14-minute thriller, where Neff visits fellow streamer Cyr and hunts him down. It ends with the OTK crew applauding the two streamers, and ultimately welcoming Neff into the team.

Will Neff and OTK Have Big Plans

Many streamers and fans congratulated Neff for signing with OTK, and expressed that this was a great move for the company. After the announcement was made, OTK revealed that Neff would be hosting the OTK Film Festival this March, which will be a $10,000 green screen film festival that's open to all aspiring filmmakers. Similarly, OTK's Extra Emily was given the chance to host a game show after signing with the company last year. Plus, in a statement to Forbes, Neff said he plans to revive his Twitch show Hey, Donna with OTK, and that he's excited to play more funny characters in videos.

Apart from Neff's signing, OTK's 2024 road map revealed projects and events that fans can look forward to, like OTK's Top Streamer in April, where it will discover a future superstar in streaming; the return of the OTK Games Expo in June; and new World of Warcraft esports events. Of course, fans will still get regular content from creators' Twitch streams and YouTube videos.

OTK 2024 roadmap

OTK's plans are indeed exciting for creators and fans alike, but its past controversies might catch up to it in the future. Last year, Twitch streamer Adrianah Lee sued some OTK creators for millions in damages over defamation claims, following allegations that Mizkif downplayed and covered up her sexual assault. While Mizkif isn't listed as part of OTK's creator network, he's still involved in the company's projects.
