Twitch has recently banned Ac7ionman from the platform following his decision to feature Ice Poseidon on his stream. Ice Poseidon, a notable figure in the streaming community renowned for his IRL (in real life) content, was banned from Twitch in 2017 due to a severe swatting incident.

In a recent incident, Ac7ionman was banned from Twitch after featuring the banned streamer Ice Poseidon on his live broadcast. In response, Ac7ionman acknowledged that he was aware of the potential repercussions but chose to proceed regardless. He publicly appealed to Twitch to reconsider Ice Poseidon's ban, citing the evolution of the banned streamer's community and behavior over the past eight years. Ac7ionman revealed that his ban is for three days and also advocated for the reinstatement of popular streamer Adin Ross, urging for a more lenient approach toward streamers who have demonstrated positive behavioral changes.

Adin Ross and Ice Poseidon Both Seek Reinstatement of Twitch Accounts

While it remains uncertain whether Twitch will reconsider Ice Poseidon's ban, CEO Dan Clancy has recently addressed the possibility of lifting the permanent ban on Adin Ross, imposed in February 2023. Clancy expressed openness to discussing Ross's return, highlighting the need to determine if Ross has genuinely changed or if he is simply attempting to exploit the platform. It is also notable that in 2020, Ice Poseidon issued a statement acknowledging a better understanding of Twitch's terms of service and expressing a belief that he deserves a second chance.

Recent precedents suggest that banned streamers might have a chance at reinstatement. In October 2023, Twitch unbanned IShowSpeed, who had been permanently banned in 2021 for making sexist comments. Additionally, Twitch recently unbanned Donald Trump’s account, which had been banned in 2021. Twitch's CEO has also previously discussed the potential for granting second chances to permanently banned streamers.
