As players delve into the world of Triangle Strategy, they will begin to unravel the intricate political situation on the continent of Norzelia. Between the battles in Triangle Strategy over salt, the backstabbing, and the array of characters that seems to be only looking out for themselves, players will end up in quite a few battles against a variety of foes. In these battles, players can get an edge by using something called Quietus'.
What is a Quietus?
In Triangle Strategy, a Quietus is a single-use advantage players can use each battle to gain an edge on their opponents. Some of the Quietus that players can utilize during battle are:
- Critical Blow - A guaranteed critical hit for the active character.
- Lightwave - Move a single character up to 8 squares.
- Revitalize - Revive one dead character and give them 25% of their health.
- Fleet-Footed - Raise the movement speed of all allies for one turn.
There are many of these Quietuses that players can choose from. In order to get a new one, players need to head to the encampment in Triangle Strategy and speak with Archibald that owns the Sundry Shop. Players can use Quietus during battles by pressing the B button on the Joy-Con while one of their characters is active, before choosing an action.
The Sundry Shop in Triangle Strategy
The Sundry Shop is located in the Encampment, which players can access in the menu while on the overworld map and before battles.
Archibald is located to the left of the center pole of the tent. He is an older gentleman with a cane. In his store, players can exchange Kudos for the upgrade materials called Medals of Bravery and Valor, Quietus, history books, and other important materials for upgrades.
This is also the store that Serenoa and his company will need to head to in order to Promote Triangle Strategy units with these Medals of Valor and Honor as well. But the world's normal coin currency is of no use at this store; players will need to spend Kudos instead.
How to Earn Kudos in Triangle Strategy
In order to purchase more Quietus and Quietus Points, players will need to earn kudos during battle. The types of things that will earn players kudos are usually moves that deal extra damage. Some examples are:
- Having height advantage bonus during an attack
- Attacking from behind an enemy
- Hitting an enemy while in a safe zone
- Using a skill or attack that an enemy is weak against
- Using a follow-up strike
- Hitting an enemy with two characters by being on opposite sides of them
Triangle Strategy is available now for the Nintendo Switch.
