Tomb Raider has announced a new crossover with Magic: The Gathering in the form of seven cards to be released on November 20. Magic: The Gathering is one of the most famous tabletop games in the world, and this time it's teaming up with Tomb Raider, a beloved game franchise.
Magic: The Gathering is no stranger to famous collaborations thanks to the Secret Lair series, which releases small collectible sets called "drops." Because of Secret Lair, Magic: The Gathering players saw the release of Street Fighter cards last year, featuring characters from the Capcom franchise such as Ken, Ryu, and Chun-Li. This year's Secret Lair also brought big news for players, such as the unexpected Magic: The Gathering x Dungeons and Dragons crossover. The number of franchises that have appeared in Magic: The Gathering is increasing, as a new announcement is bringing an exciting collaboration.

Some fans have found a reason to believe that Crystal Dynamics might be gearing up to reveal the Tomb Raider game that it has been working on.
Magic: The Gathering and Tomb Raider have teamed up in a new crossover that will release seven cards on November 20 via Secret Lair's website. The cards revealed by IGN include the new card Lara Croft, Tomb Raider, along with The Lost Valley, The Grim Whisper, Totec's Spear, Kizeth Sunken City, Treasure, and Storms of Yamatai, which is Lara's destination in 2013's Tomb Raider. The Tomb Raider cards show Lara in her adventures, and except for the protagonist card, they are all reprints of existing Magic: The Gathering cards. The Tomb Raider set is part of the Secretversary Superdrop and will be accompanied by a range of Secret Lair products yet to be announced.

- New card: Lara Croft, Tomb Raider

One of the highlights of the Tomb Raider set is the Lara Croft card. The artwork shows Lara carrying a torch and a pickaxe, leaving aside the twin pistols from Tomb Raider's pre-reboot era. For three mana, this card allows players to exile Artifacts and Legendary Lands from the graveyard while Lara attacks. What makes it unique is that Lara can exile cards from the graveyard of both the player who owns it and their opponent. Another noteworthy card is The Lost Valley, a double-sided card whose other side is called Heart of the Explorer.
As for Tomb Raider, fans are waiting to find out what Lara Croft's next adventure will be after 2018's Shadow of the Tomb Raider. While a new game hasn't been announced, Lara continues to appear in other franchises, such as Call of Duty. In addition, fans are waiting for the new Tomb Raider anime, which will be released next year on Netflix.
