A few days ago, the official accounts of Tite Kubo and Bleach Animation started teasing a new announcement to be made at the end of this week. Since then, fans have been speculating about what it might be.

Both profiles posted similar pictures and the date "March 21, 2025", teasing that big news will be out that day. Since then, both accounts seem to be doing a countdown, and all posts include the hashtag "BLEACH Anime".

What Kind of Bleach News Could Be Coming?

As previously mentioned, all the posts tease that the upcoming announcement might have something to do with the anime. Check out some of the posts from both profiles:

Despite the anime-related hashtag, fans started hoping that the news could be related to the long-awaited Hell Arc. Some also think it may be related to the game Bleach: Rebirth of Souls, which will be released on March 20, but the game account on X (formerly Twitter) hasn't posted or reposted anything related to these pictures.

Other speculations involve a new live-action movie, as recent rumors suggest that Warner is working on another live-action adaptation. There have also been rumors about a Bleach remake without fillers, and a few fans pointed out that the picture could refer to the first arc of the story (Agent of Shinigami or Substitute Shinigami arc):

It's a Substitute Shinigami Arc reference, we're getting a Bleach remake boys.

However, it also seems likely that a new trailer or new information about the last part of Bleach: A Thousand-Year Blood War will be revealed on March 21, 2025.

What Is The "Hell Arc"?

For a long time, Bleach fans have been hoping that Tite Kubo would write a sequel to the story set in Hell (or The Underworld), a place where souls are sent if they were wicked before they die.

Although the idea of a Hell arc was mostly a rumor for a long time, in 2021 a special chapter set 12 after the original story, titled "No Breathes from Hell" was released. It ended with a cliffhanger that hinted at an upcoming arc that would take place in Hell.

Unfortunately, although fans have been eagerly awaiting more news about the Hell arc, Kubo hasn't released anything new or confirmed that he is indeed working on a new arc — it is not only about Bleach itself, but Burn the Witch, which was also supposed to have a continuation. But, nothing new has surfaced since 2021. Some speculate that Kubo might be waiting for the end of Bleach TYBW anime to start a new arc.

Bleach and Bleach TYBW are available on Hulu in the US and on Disney+ worldwide, subbed and dubbed in many languages.
