Tiny Tina's Wonderlands features six spectacular classes for players to choose between and also features a robust multiclassing system, allowing players to merge two classes together when creating their build. Of these multiclasses, the Hammerzerker is a spectacular fusion of the Brr-Zerker and Clawbringer that melds devastating melee combat and rage buffs with deadly elemental attacks and a wyvern ally to share the carnage.

Tiny Tina's Wonderlands is set within the Borderlands universe and centers around Tiny Tina's latest Bunkers & Badasses adventure. Players will travel through the Wonderlands as they endure a myriad of fiendish encounters on their quest to gear up and defeat the terrifying Dragonlord.

Updated July 29, 2022 by Thomas Hawkins: With the recent release of Tiny Tina's Wonderlands on Steam, it's never been a better time to jump into the wonderlands. As such, this guide has been updated with an alternate build focused on using elemental damage to its fullest, which could work very well with the various new weapons added by the DLCs so far.

Melee Hammerzerker Build

This Hammerzerker build is all about dealing incredible damage in melee range and living long enough to tell the tale later. To this end, the build delves heavily into the Brr-Zerker skill tree, grabbing skills all the way up to its capstone skill. It also takes skills up to tier 3 in the Clawbringer Skill tree, taking skills that further improve on melee damage and defensive power.

For making an especially tanky character, this build uses The Old Ways (Brr-Zerker Tier 2) to greatly increase damage reduction and damage dealt when close to an enemy. This 30% damage reduction with the skill maxed out makes it way harder to deal meaningful damage to the Hammerzerker.

The skill Rebuke (Clawbringer Tier 2) adds a permanent 15% damage reduction, making the Hammerzerker up to 45% more resistant to damage when close to enemies. Meanwhile, the skill Savagery (Brr-Zerker Tier 1) grants a 20% bonus to melee damage and extends the duration of rage by 5 seconds once maxed out. This results in up to 50% extra melee damage when close to enemies, and is key to giving this build a ton of raw power.

Improving the Hammerzerker's odds of survival even in deadly straits is the skill Relentless Rage (Brr-Zerker Tier 4), allowing the Hammerzerker to regain Save Your Soul time by damaging enemies, and causing them to enrage if they successfully kill an enemy in "Save Your Soul" mode. Blood Frenzy (Brr-Zerker Tier 3) further improves the Hammerzerker's effectiveness in combat by extending the rage timer and restoring health whenever an enemy is killed.

Further increasing the damage dealt by this build is the skill Oath of Thunder (Clawbringer Tier 1), which allows the Hammerzerker to deal 25% additional lightning damage with their melee attacks while also granting that bonus to their wyvern companion's attacks. Blast Chill (Brr-Zerker Tier 5) adds AOE to the mix by adding a 20% chance for melee attacks to create a frost nova. This is paired with the skill Ancestral Frost (Brr-Zerker Tier 1) to increase frost damage by 20%.

The Brr-Zerker class feat "Enrage" allows the user to enter a rage after using an action skill. Due to usually wanting to be close to foes, the ideal action skills for this build are the Brr-Zerker's dreadwind or the Clawbringer's Cleansing flames, both of which deal excellent AOE damage and will trigger Enrage. Meanwhile, the Clawbringer's class feat "Wyvern Companion" provides them with backup to deal damage and draw attention from foes.

The Brr-Zerker Capstone Skill "Blood of the Fallen" allows the player to reduce the cooldown of their action skill whenever they kill an enemy or extend its duration if it is currently active. This makes it easy for the Brr-Zerker to keep reactivating enrage by using dreadwind or cleansing flames.

Finally, Blasthamut's Favour (Clawbringer Tier 3) allows the Brr-Zerker to generate fire orbs whenever they kill foes with a gun, or lightning orbs whenever they kill a foe with a melee attack, allowing them to deal additional elemental damage to nearby enemies.

Stats

  • Strength: 38 (For high critical damage when melee attacks crit.)
  • Dexterity: 23 (for a useful 26% critical chance on all attacks.)
  • Intelligence: 7 (Spells aren't super important for this build's playstyle.)
  • Wisdom: 10 (Spells aren't especially important for this build's playstyle.)
  • Constitution: 30 (This build thrives on close range to enemies, so extra health and ward is important to soak up hits.)
  • Attunement: 10 (Action Skills are important to this build, but the build has other ways of recharging them, optionally trade some dex points for attunement for better skill cooldowns.)

Elemental Hammerzerker Build

This alternate build takes advantage of the trifecta of elemental damage types made available by the Brr-zerker Clawbringer build, allowing it to dish out tremendous amounts of fire, lightning, and especially ice elemental damage. The build focuses on ranged combat using spells and the "Storm Dragon's Judgement" action skill to tear through foes with ease, and benefits greatly from elementally imbued weaponry. This is doubly true when the weapon elements match up with the three damage types mentioned above, with the greatest benefit coming from ice elemental damage.

This build takes advantage of the "Rage of the Ancients" feat to keep inflicting frost damage in addition to any other damage types being inflicted by the Fatemaker and their Wyvern Companion. It also has reasonably good survivability.

Stats (Background: Failed Monk)

  • Strength: 6 (Critical hit damage simply isn't as important as the other stats for this build.)
  • Dexterity: 8 (Similarly, critical hit chance isn't terribly important to this build.)
  • Intelligence: 33 (Being able to throw out powerful elemental spells, preferably with good AOE, regularly is very important to this build. Provides +23% spell cooldown rate.)
  • Wisdom: 36 (The +52% status effect damage boost is highly effective when paired with the absolute ton of elemental damage and status effects this build can throw out.)
  • Constitution: 23 (This build benefits from keeping "Enraged" up as much as possible, so playing aggressively and taking advantage of this +32.5% max health/ward boost is highly encouraged.)
  • Attunement: 10 (Attunement would be quite useful for refreshing Enrage with more frequent action skill use, but isn't as important as the other stats this build spends points on.)

Brr-zerker Skills

A still from Wonderlands' potentially final Mirror of Mystery DLC.
  • Tier 1: Ancestral Frost (5/5): This boosts Frost Damage by 20%. Simple and very effective, especially with Enrage adding frost damage to all attacks while active.
  • Tier 2: Ice Breaker (3/3): Increases damage dealt by 30% against frozen enemies, pairing fantastically with "Enrage" and "Ancestral Frost."
  • Tier 2: Instinct (3/3): Increases reload speed by 12% and weapon swap speed by 30%, both are doubled when Enraged.
  • Tier 3: Cold Snap (3/3): Boosts movement speed by 9% and Frost efficiency by 24%. Both of these are doubled while enraged. Paired with "Instinct," this allows the Hammerzerker to unleash tons of frost damage and vary up their attacks quickly and easily.
  • Tier 3: Blood Frenzy (3/3): This fantastic kill skill restores 9% of the Fatemaker's maximum health and 3 seconds of their active enrage timer whenever they kill an enemy. This allows the Hammerzerker to keep "Enrage" active as long as possible and continually deal out extra frost damage.

Clawbringer Skills

  • Tier 1: Oath of Fire (5/5): Adds 20% bonus fire damage to the Fatemaker's gun damage and their Wyvern Companion's attacks.
  • Tier 1: Radiance (4/5): Boosts the character's maximum ward capacity by 24%, enhancing survivability.
  • Tier 2: Dragon Aura (5/5): Gives the Fatemaker an aura that grants themselves and all allies a 25% boost to all elemental damage, pairing fantastically with this build's myriad of elemental assault options.
  • Tier 2: Dedication (5/5): Grants a bonus to the Fatemaker's action skill cooldown rate based on their remaining ward amount, capping at +30% with enough remaining ward. This lets them unleash "Storm Dragon's Judgement" more frequently to deal lightning damage and (re)activate "Enrage."
  • Tier 3: Blasthamut's Favor (1/1): This kill skill generates fire orbs to deal fire ability damage whenever the Fatemaker kills an enemy with a gun, or the Wyvern Companion kills an enemy with its breath attack. It also generates a lightning orb to deal lightning ability damage whenever the Fatemaker or their Wyvern Companion kills an enemy with a melee attack. This helps to dish out a bunch of extra fire and lightning damage during a lengthy fight.
  • Tier 4: Fire Bolt (1/1): This adds a fire bolt attack to the Wyvern Companion, allowing it to deal AOE fire damage. This can trigger once every 16 seconds and helps to keep up the elemental pressure. It also gives the Fatemaker 10% extra gun damage.
  • Tier 4: Storm Breath (1/1): This grants the Wyvern Companion a lightning breath attack that can arc from enemy to enemy, applying additional lightning damage to foes over a wide area. It also gives the Fatemaker +15% damage reduction.
  • Tier 5: Awe (3/3): This grants the Fatemaker +21% critical hit damage after dealing fire damage, and +39% critical hit chance after dealing lightning damage. Both effects last for 12 seconds when triggered, and serve to enhance the damage output of the build.
  • Tier 5: Indomitable (1/1): If the Fatemaker enters Save Your Soul, they instead instantly refill their ward and deal 20% bonus lightning damage for 20 seconds. This can be triggered once every 100 seconds and serves as an emergency escape from potentially lethal incoming attacks if the player is unable to dodge.
  • Tier 6: Storm Smite (1/1): The capstone skill of Clawbringer allows the Fatemaker to call down 4 elemental bolts whenever they use their action skill. Each bolt deals either fire or lightning ability damage to all nearby enemies, giving the build excellent AOE damage.
