Tides of Annihilation Looks Like a Fantasy Game for Stellar Blade Fans
Unveiled at Sony's recent State of Play, Tides of Annihilation looks to be serving up action-RPG fundamentals similar to Stellar Blade's.
During a chat with Wccftech at Gamescom 2024, Eclipse Glow Games offered some more details about its new IP. Players can expect an average of 30 hours of gameplay and over 30 boss encounters, with each beast boasting unique abilities. As many viewers have already picked up on, combat is similar to that found in the Devil May Cry series, and players will be able to choose between four weapons: bows, swords, fists, and one yet to be announced. As the massive Chinese publisher Tencent has a stake in Tides of Annihilation's success, the team also explained that they chose a setting based on Arthurian legends to cater to the Western market. Tencent also invested in Game Science's wildly popular action RPG Black Myth: Wukong, which found the majority of its success with Eastern audiences.
