Lewis Pullman is making his debut in the MCU in Thunderbolts*, where he portrays Robert "Bob" Reynolds, aka Sentry. Marvel kept Pullman's character under wraps for months before finally confirming that he would play a powerful superhero comparable to Superman. However, there's a massive twist with Sentry: he harbors a dark alter ego known as the Void. The character is fascinating and ultra-powerful, so it's not surprising that Marvel wants to bring him back. When asked about his return in Avengers: Doomsday as Sentry, here's what Pullman told GamesRadar.

Aside from Pullman, the other Thunderbolts* stars who will join Doomsday are Florence Pugh (Yelena), Sebastian Stan (Bucky Barnes), David Harbour (Red Guardian), Hannah John-Kamen (Ghost), Wyatt Russell (John Walker). Although these stars are really close, having worked together for months on their upcoming MCU film, they have maintained secrecy when it comes to Doomsday. In fact, they do not talk about the next Avengers film at all. According to Harbour, he was aware of his involvement in the movie, but he wasn't sure about the others. He didn't have a story or script to begin with, so he didn't have any idea about the movie.

Marvel Studios Has A Long History Of Keeping Plot Details Secret From Its Major Actors

Keeping the details for an upcoming Marvel film a secret is not new at all. Most actors will often deny or not comment on their casting before Marvel Studios officially announces it. Paul Rudd was also asked if Ant-Man would return in Doomsday, but instead of answering the questions with a "yes" or "no," he said the Russo brothers had his number, hinting that they could contact him if he were needed. His Death of a Unicorn co-star, Jenna Ortega, who was with him in the interview, joked that Marvel stars were trained to handle such questions. When Marvel Studios announced the cast list for Doomsday, Rudd's name was included. Some were disappointed because many were not included, like Tom Holland, Benedict Cumberbatch, and Chris Pratt. Kevin Feige, the President of Marvel Studios, said they "revealed many, [but] not all. So, some actors are part of the film but not in the announcement.

It's exciting to have the Thunderbolts in Avengers: Doomsday because the reformed villains or anti-heroes will surely add fun and chaos to the movie. The movie's early reviews are promising. One even said that it's a "beast" of a film and several were expecting it to perform better than Captain America: Brave New World. So, the return of the misfits in Doomsday is more than welcome. Pullman's Sentry is also an excellent choice for Doomsday because of his superpowers and dark and destructive side. If Void is introduced properly, fans can expect a much darker and more intense storyline in his next appearance in the MCU. Having him also offers a tragic element because Sentry is both a hero and a villain. Sentry is a strong ally, but Void can also be a massive threat. So, yeah, Pullman's MCU character is complex, and seeing more of him is exciting.
