Apart from improving skills and upgrading gear, Throne and Liberty players will also need to improve Weapon Mastery if they want to get the most out of their character builds. The mastery system in this game provides players with meaningful stat bonuses for their preferred weapons, making mastery an important part of the core gameplay progression.

The Weapon Mastery system is one of the reasons why players should pick their weapons carefully in Throne and Liberty. Getting Weapon Mastery Points will take a long time, and it's best to commit to two weapons early on in order to avoid any frustrations later. Leveling up Weapon Mastery can be a bit confusing, though, so here's a guide covering how to do exactly that.

How To Level Up Weapon Mastery In Throne And Liberty

Throne and Liberty Limited Time Training Dew Expire

To get Weapon Mastery Points, you need to use Training Dew, a type of consumable item meant specifically for Weapon Mastery. Basically, players have three ways to get these:

  • Complete Conracts
  • Complete co-op dungeons
  • Defeat enemies inside public dungeons

The easiest way to farm Training Dew is to complete Contracts from Contract Manager NPCs in major towns and camps. Contracts are your typical MMO kill/fetch quests, and they should take no longer than a few minutes to complete.

Contract Rights limit the number of Contracts you can complete per day, so you can't rely on Contracts alone to get Training Dew. Your next best option is to complete co-op dungeons like Specter's Abyss in Throne and Liberty. You may need to spend your Dimensional Contract Tokens in order to get the Training Dew after completing dungeon objectives, however, so make sure you have some in stock.

According to the in-game tooltip whenever you hover over your Weapon Mastery progress in the Character screen, Weapon Mastery Points should be earned as you gain normal EXP. However, this only appears to be valid when players are inside an open-world dungeon like Syleus' Abyss. As you kill enemies inside these dungeons, you'll automatically spend Abyssal Contract Tokens. As long as you have tokens to spare, EXP you get from kills will also spill over into your Weapon Mastery progress bars.

Contract Rights, Abyssal Contract Tokens, and Dimensional Contract Tokens all refresh daily. If you run out of them, you'll need to wait for the server's next 24-hour refresh in order to get more. With that said, be mindful of what co-op dungeons you do, as something like Throne and Liberty's Cave of Desperation dungeon will have different loot drops compared to everything else.

Training Dew will automatically disappear after 24 hours of acquisition. Use them immediately. You can switch your gear prior to using them if you want to upgrade a different pair of weapons.
