You can never have enough Skill Growth Books in Throne and Liberty, especially if you're planning on leveling up multiple different skills at once. You'll get a ton of these upgrade materials as you play through the main questline, but after that, the flow of books will start to slow down.
Since one cannot reap the rewards of the main quest forever, players will need to know other ways to get books for skill upgrades in Throne and Liberty. The following guide is geared towards players who have or are just about to finish the main storyline, so expect some things to be out of reach if you're starting as a fresh character.
Throne and Liberty: How to Get Magic Powder
You will need to dissolve what you don't need in order to craft what you do. If that sounds confusing, this guide can help.
How To Farm Skill Growth Books In Throne And Liberty
As mentioned, the main story will give you hundreds of Active and Passive Skill Growth Books, so completing that should be your first priority. Once you're done, you have two other options for further Skill Growth Book farming: completing Exploration Quests and crafting.
Exploration Quests
As soon as you enter a new region, you'll automatically start a bunch of different Exploration Quests. These include the likes of the Friend of Morokai the Turncoat and The Abyssal Contract quests in Throne and Liberty. The majority of these quests will have you exploring regions while completing simple (but sometimes confusing) objectives.
Exploration Quests are fairly quick and easy to complete, and they'll reward you with either Active or Passive Skill Growth Books (sometimes both) along with other useful rewards, such as money and crafting materials. These are finite, however, which means you'll eventually need to look elsewhere for skill book farming.
Crafting
Every major town has a Skills Researcher who can craft Skill Growth Books for you. They're usually lumped together with other NPC craftspeople, and you can visit them at any time for all your crafting needs.
Skill Growth Books require Parchment and Marind Ore, and to make rarer Skill Growth Books, you'll need paper and ore of matching quality. Unlike Manasteel in Throne and Liberty, Parchment and Marind Ore are much more common, and they can be farmed from enemies inside public dungeons like Syleus' Abyss.
Throne And Liberty: How To Complete At The Lycans' Hall Moon Puzzle
The puzzle during 'At The Lycans' Hall' can be pretty tricky in Throne and Liberty. Here's how to solve it without breaking a sweat.
Purchasing Skill Growth Books
What many players may not know is that you can actually buy Skill Growth Books from the in-game shop using Ornate Coins. The store sells both blue and purple skill books for 5 and 10 Ornate Coins respectively.
There's a trick players can use here as of writing. If you're in need of the blue Rare Skill Growth Books, purchase the purple Precious Skill Growth Books instead. Each purple book costs 10 Ornate Coins, but if you dismantle them in your inventory, you get 10 Rare Skill Growth Books in return. By doing this, you'll get 50 Ornate Coins' worth of blue books for only 10 coins.
