Throne and Liberty is making some integral changes ahead of March’s expansion, and the devs are encouraging players to take part in a vital transfer by dishing out plentiful rewards. Throne and Liberty made waves releasing on Steam last year, praised for its free-to-play model, guild-based gameplay, and MMORPG elements nestled within the world of Solisium. Now, to manage the game’s impressive player count, a crucial tweak of the servers is necessary.

The MMORPG was first released in October 2024, developed and published by NCSoft, and the title was originally linked to the Lineage series before being repurposed during development. Throne and Liberty recently received its first update of 2025, which focused on combat improvements, UI adjustments, and quality-of-life enhancements. Patch 1.12.0 also targeted weapons, inventory adjustments, and improved team management in War Games, with a change to combat preset displays so players find it easier to adjust their settings.

To ensure the first expansion is a seamless experience for all, NCSoft is transferring Throne and Liberty’s player base onto consolidated servers, and everyone will be able to transfer onto the new servers for free. To encourage fans to take part, the devs are offering a 20% increase in Sollant from hunting, 50% more mastery experience from all sources, and 50% more Training Dew, similar to NCSoft’s Throne and Liberty giveaway at the start of the year, offering Ornate Coins, Trait Unlockstones, Star Crystals, and Rare Rune Chests to compensate for an extended downtime period. The server restructure began on February 13, 2025, and players have a two-week period to transfer and claim the in-game rewards until February 27.

Throne and Liberty Players Receive Perks During Server Consolidation

  • 20% more Sollant from hunting
  • 50% more mastery experience
  • 50% more Training Dew
  • Daily check-in rewards

Additionally, players will earn check-in rewards every day during the transfer period, including Growthstones and Dimensional Essence. Fans were happy Throne and Liberty recently allowed console players to use a mouse and keyboard in the game, in an attempt to level the playing field and give console gamers a taste of PC life, and the community is grateful for the buffs while the servers are reorganized. Furthermore, players were excited to learn the details of the upcoming expansion but shared their disappointment with a barren February in terms of content.

The Throne and Liberty community will have March 6 circled on their calendar, as the date marks the release of the MMORPG’s first, free expansion. Wilds of the Talandre will add substantial new content and zones to gameplay, as well as introduce a weapon mastery rework. Additionally, players will witness an expanded level cap on top of another wave of fresh gear to try on for size as a new region awaits to be explored.
