There are a lot of Codex entries that players can sink a good amount of time into during their playthrough of Throne and Liberty. These serve as the game's side quests and provide not only great rewards but also provide some great world-building and ways to explore all of Solisium. This is why the quests have become so popular among the community, as they offer plenty of ways to keep their attention long after the main story has ended. One of these Codex entries is called Meeting a Friend in the Field, and it can be a lengthy one.
Throne and Liberty: How to Cook Food
Cooking is an essential activity in Throne and Liberty. For those unsure, here's how and were it can be done.
Meeting a Friend in the Field becomes available to players in the Urstella Fields area on the game's map. It will become available once a player has completed the Codex entry called Ashien's Strange Painting in the Adventure category. Once this has been completed, players can go into the Exploration tab and find this quest ready to tackle.
How To Complete Meeting A Friend In The Field
Over the course of Meeting a Friend in the Field, there will be six objectives to complete:
- Find the Powerless Little Doll in the Wrecked Carriage
- Talk to Ashien at Starlight Observatory Ruins
- Defeat the monsters on one of the floors between 1-10F in Taedal's Tower
- Talk to Ashien at Starlight Observatory Ruins
- Talk to the Inn Owner at Kastleton Kastleton Inn
- Talk to Tailor Noan in the guest room at Kastleton Kastleton Inn 2F, and awaken the Powerless Little Doll
Find The Powerless Little Doll
Players can head to the Wrecked Carriage just to the west of the Starlight Ruins Observatory, close to where players will fight the goblins as part of the main quest here.
There, they will see the crashed carriage and the doll lying next to it. Players just have to interact with it, and the next objective will trigger.
Talk To Ashien At Starlight Observatory Ruins
This is an easy step, as players just need to head up to the top of the Starlight Observatory Ruins, where they can speak with Ashien. In that conversation, players will need to choose the option to ask Ashien about Amitol.
This will prompt the next step to begin.
Defeat The Monsters In Taedal's Tower & Return To Ashien
This is probably the lengthiest, and toughest, part of the entire quest, but even that isn't too difficult.
Players will access the tower by interacting with Ashien's painting near her. They can choose any of the floors between 1 and 10 to tackle, and all it takes is to complete that floor. If players want to finish this as soon as possible, it is recommended to just do the first floor.
This has players taking on a giant orc who has some big attacks, but is is a pretty straightforward fight. They just need to watch out for his big swing that will stun them.
Other than that, using Skills and staying on the move will make quick work of this monster.
Once this step is complete, speak with Ashien again about what happened in her painting, and she will advise the player to speak with a tailor.
She mentions speaking with people in Kastleton to help find one.
Talk To The Inn Owner In Kastleton Inn
Players should specifically go to the Kastleton Inn to speak with the owner there. The inn is in the same little square, on the north side (where the Waystone is), so players can warp right there and head inside.
Players will need to complete the other Codex entry, A Kastleton Inn Ghost Story, in order to be able to talk to the Inn Owner.
Speaking with the owner causes her to point players to Room 202, where a young tailor is staying.
Speak With Tailor Noan In Kastleton Inn
The final step of the quest has players go into Room 202 and speak with Noan, the young tailor who can be found sitting in a rocking chair inside. Asking him about Amitois will prompt him to fix the one found by the carriage.
Once it has been healed, players just need to interact with it on the ground and pick it up. This will bring the quest to a close.
