Throne and Liberty is packed full of content for players to tackle, including world events and side quests through its Codex system. They're all pretty straightforward and can be easily completed, at least seemingly at first. However, some of these quests can prove to be really confusing and vague in their descriptions of what to do for them. One such quest is called Eye That Desires Magic, which can be found in the Manawastes area of the map, which calls for players to be at least Level 43 to be successful in the area.
However, this isn't necessarily true, as even at Level 43, this area can be tough. There are a lot of enemies - especially in the section where this quest has to be completed. These enemies can easily swarm an unsuspecting person who is just trying to focus on the objectives of the quest itself. As such, it is recommended to not tackle Eye That Desires Magic until a level or two over the recommended minimum of 43. This just makes it far easier to manage and ensures that players won't find themselves beating their heads against the wall in frustration. Once they have reached that adequate level, they can follow this guide to see the quest finished.
Throne And Liberty: Beginning Of Misfortune Guide (Honeypot Ant Location)
Taking on the Ant Nest in Beginning of Misfortune is tough in Throne and Liberty. Here is how to make it easier.
How To Complete Eye That Desires Magic
This quest comes with three objectives for people to complete over its course:
- Defeat Evil Eye Sentry
- Collect a Collection Codex page at Manawastes
- Collect the Ancient Script Lithograph near where Malakar appears
Defeat Evil Eye Sentry
Around the area of the quest, players will see many enemies called Evil Eyes. However, these are not the ones that need to be defeated in order to complete this step of the mission. Instead, players need to look at their mini-map to find some smaller blue circles scattered around; these are the locations of the actual enemies they need to fight.
They look similar to the standard Evil Eyes, but they are far bigger and will show up as field bosses on their maps. They can be a little tricky to find as other players may have killed them already, meaning that they won't be spawning for a bit. Players will need to be patient until they find one that has spawned and can be attacked.
In terms of beating the Evil Eye Sentry, it's pretty simple: just hit it with the best Skills possible and try to avoid or defend some of its attacks. It can hit pretty hard, so staying on the move is also a good choice to avoid some of its attacks.
There will be other enemies around it that will try to overwhelm you. When this happens, it's best to focus on eliminating these smaller threats to make the Evil Eye Sentry easier to deal with on its own. With enough attacks, it will go down.
Collect A Collection Codex Page
This objective won't give players a specific icon to find on the map for a page to collect. Instead, there are a few that can be found all around the area. The easiest one can be found close to the Manawaste Waystone. If a person warps there and heads to the north, towards the large structure in front of them, they can use the grappling hook to jump into this structure.
If the player hooks to the right and looks to the left of the staircase here, they can find a Mysterious Note among some rocks. Interacting with this note will cross this objective off the list.
Collect The Ancient Script Lithograph
This objective is simple and there will be a small circle on the map to point players to where they need to go. Heading to this spot will show an area with a few enemies and some icons pointing to where the Ancient Lithograph can be found. Picking this page up will bring the quest to a close immediately.
