Thief Simulator: Where to find the Aisan Cougar

There's a lot to enjoy in the sometimes-buggy Thief Simulator. Throwing televisions out of windows, hiding in dumpsters, and selling toasters for $70 each all make it a memorable experience that can bring memories of the Thief games without being a direct rip-off - Garrett wasn't in the business of disassembling cars.

After making decent progress in the game, the ability to steal cars is unlocked, and they can yield some serious cash for players who want to take on this kind of heist. It's not easy to find homes with cars to steal, though, and this guide aims to help players find the Aisan Cougar which sells for $800 and unlocks the 'Car Enthusiast 2' trophy / achievement when stolen.

Where is the Aisan Cougar?

Most homes on Greenview Street have garages, and most of those garages are empty. Each home entered poses a risk of getting caught and tasered, and house 101 is the most difficult one on the street to access. Naturally, this is the house hiding the Aisan Cougar. The car can be found in the white garage on the rightmost side of the house.

Players' bad luck doesn't end there. This property is guarded by cameras and a walled-off yard, so it's important to make sure the garage door and outside gate are both open before attempting to leave - especially with the knowledge that every time a hotwired car is exited, it must be hotwired again.

How to infiltrate 101 Greenview Street

The Smith family has a strong security system, but it can be made trivial if players are quick with the right tools and skills, listed below.

Mini electric lock pick (Lockpicking level 3)
Regular lock pick (Lockpicking level 2)
Car lock pick gun (Car stealing level 1)

After acquiring the necessary tools and skills, players should start the heist at 9 p.m. Both tenants are away from the house at this time, so players don't need to sneak, but the recommended strategy to be totally undetected has been shared below.

Use the electric lock pick on the power box behind the house.
- This disables the cameras for 4 minutes.
Use the regular lock pick on the home's front gate.
Open the yard's car gate via its switch on the far right.
Enter the home through the front door using an electric lock pick.
Enter the garage on the right, crouch in front of the Aisan Cougar, and disable its alarm.

Unlock the car with a car lock pick gun and hotwire it
Drive out of the map - the trophy / achievement will then unlock.

Alternatively, the home can be entered via a window - using a glass knife for this is recommended, but a crowbar works all the same.

Stealing cars in Thief Simulator allows players to break them down into parts that are sold at a junkyard. To break a car apart, it must be approached while at the home base - from there, players can pull apart the engine, suspension, and wheels to sell for a high price.
