There are a lot of hunting games out there like theHunter: Call of the Hunt, and different players will like one over the others. However, each of them offers their own kinds of challenges, making each of them worth trying out.

These games are all about the challenge and mastering the various mechanics for the best possible results. This makes them perfect games for achievement/trophy hunters. Obtaining achievements/trophies in the game can be just as rewarding as bagging trophy animals while getting the best gear in the game.

Achievement/Trophy Name	Description	How to Obtain
theHunter	Collect every trophy	Collect every other trophy for the game. Only available to PlayStation players.
The Mile	Travel a distance of 1 mile (1.609 kilometers) on foot	Players will do a lot of walking in the game, but they will also slowly move around and even drive. Players will get this trophy/achievement naturally by just playing through the game and its various reserves.
The Scandinavian Mile	Travel a distance of 6.2 miles (10 kilometers) on foot	Players will get this trophy/achievement naturally by just playing through the game as they move around and track their prey.
The Marathon	Travel a distance of 26.2 miles (42.195 kilometers) on foot	Players will get this trophy/achievement naturally by just playing through the game as they move around.
The Ultramarathon	Travel a distance of 100 miles (160.934 kilometers) on foot	Players should get this trophy/achievement before they get all the other trophies in the base game. However, if they still need this one, the fastest way to trigger it will be to get on an ATV and just start driving until it does.

Novice Marksman	Hit an animal from 50+ meters (55+ yards)	As you progress, you will obtain better gear for hunts — this includes scopes. Players don’t need to worry about this trophy early on and can get it at the same time as they attempt the Legendary Marksman trophy/achievement.
Leave No Animal Behind	Harvest a wounded animal	This will come from harvesting your first hunt and cannot be missed.
Skilled Marksman	Hit an animal from 100+ meters (110+ yards)	Players don’t need to worry about this trophy early on and can get it at the same time they attempt the Legendary Marksman trophy/achievement. They will want to master their skills as they progress through the game.
Expert Marksman	Hit an animal from 200+ meters (219+ yards)	Players don’t need to worry about this trophy early on and can get it at the same time they attempt the Legendary Marksman trophy/achievement.
Legendary Marksman	Hit an animal from 400+ meters (438+ yards)	There are 2 great spots for this to trigger. Players can go to the bottom right of Silver Ridge where the height aids distance covered. Another great option is at the Hirschfelden Hunting Reserve. Aim for prey on the other side of the lake to cover the 438 yards in a single shot.
Moby Deer	Harvest an albino deer in Hirschfelden Hunting Reserve or the Layton Lake District	Different areas have different species of deer. Players can find roe, red, and fallow deer in Hirschfelden Hunting Reserve. They will find whitetail and blacktail deer in Layton Lake District. Keep progressing the game’s vast open areas and this may come sooner than expected.
Hero of Hirschfelden	Harvest an animal in every subregion in Hirschfelden Hunting Reserve	There are 5 sub-regions in Hirschfelden Hunting Reserve. Start with the top left side of the area, then check off each one as you harvest.
Lord of the Lakes	Harvest an animal in every subregion in Layton Lake District	There are 5 sub-regions in the Layton Lake District. Start with the top left side of the area, then check off each one as you harvest.
Stay on Target	Find 50 tracks from the same animal	Progressing through the game may have this come naturally. In the event that it does not, players can spam examining the tracks of an animal they find until this triggers. Players can pick up Locate Tracks early to make this easier.
Persistence is Futile	Find 100 tracks from the same animal	Players can keep spamming "examine tracks" until this trophy triggers after Stay on Target.
Seeing is Believing	Spot 10 animals	Use your Binoculars to find an animal, and then press the prompted button to spot it. Do this 10 times for this to trigger.
Stalker	Spot 100 animals	There is a lot of wildlife to spot throughout the game. Use your Binoculars to find an animal, and then press the prompted button to spot it. Do this 100 times for this to trigger.
Jack of all Trades	Harvest different animals using each of the four weapon types	Each time you get a new type of weapon, use it to hunt something to harvest. Once you have done this with all four types, this will trigger.
Blind Shot	Hit an animal that is barely visible	You do not have to be successful in your hunt, just hitting your target counts. Use a good long-range rifle at midnight and l ook around large open areas for a target to shoot.
Call of the Wild	Use all callers once	There are 12 callers in the game. Use each of them once for this to trigger. Some will be free, the rest will have a cost.
Insomniac	Down an animal at night	Complete a hunt at night.
Scarecrow	Scared 1000 unique animals	This is best obtained during achievement/trophy cleanup. Many animals will get scared off as you progress through the game. This includes getting other trophies. Players can check their Hunting Profile to see how many they have scared off so far, and will just need to scare however many are left.
Globetrotter	Visit all regions in Hirschfelden Hunting Reserve and Layton Lake District	This will be obtained while getting the “Hero of Hirschfelden” and “Lord of the Lakes” trophies/achievements.
Up Close And Personal	Hit an animal while undetected within 15 meters (16 yards)	Players will want to use a Caller while hidden to lure an animal closer. Shoot it once it is within 16 yards.
Wildlife Paparazzi	Photograph every trophy animal species in Hirschfelden Hunting Reserve and Layton Lake District	Players should take a picture each time they see a new animal. Once they have a picture of every animal, this will trigger.
Potty Humor	Examine 100 droppings	Each time you see droppings, go up to it and press the prompted button. This will trigger after examining your 100th dropping. Players can use dogs to help find these easier.
Make It Count	Down an animal with your last round of ammunition	This is another trophy/achievement best left for a cleanup run. Begin a hunt and then use your last round of ammunition for this to trigger.
Diamonds Are Forever	Earn a diamond rating on a harvested animal	Diamond is the highest score you can get for a harvest. Different guns work best against different targets, and this will affect your score — a bow is good against anything. You will want to bag your target in 1 hit without damaging any trophy organs. The European Rabbit, Jackrabbit, Mallard Duck, and Canadian Goose do not have trophy organs.
Goldmember	Earn a gold rating on a harvested animal	This will likely be earned before a player is able to get a diamond rating, or while they attempt to get a diamond rating.
Silver Lining	Earn a silver rating on a harvested animal	This will be earned as players progress through the game.
It's Something	Earn a bronze rating on a harvested animal	This will be earned as players progress through the game.
Bucket List	Spot every trophy animal species in Hirschfelden Hunting Reserve and Layton Lake District	This only counts if you use your binoculars on one of each animal species in both locations.
Eavesdropping	Identify a call from every animal species in Hirschfelden Hunting Reserve and Layton Lake District	Whenever you hear an animal sound, look around until you see a button prompt. This will come naturally before you complete the other trophies on this list.
Nerves Of Steel	Down an animal while having an elevated heart rate	Running will cause you to have an elated heart rate. Charge down any animal and use a shotgun for the best chance of downing it.
The Old Fashioned Way	Down an animal with an unscoped rifle	Remove the scope of your current rifle in your Inventory. Hunt and harvest an animal for this to trigger.
Head, Shoulders, Knees, and Toes	Down an animal from each stance	There are 3 stances. Down an animal with each of them for this to trigger. Stances include standing up, kneeling, and being prone.
This Is Not A Zombie Game	Down 10 animals by hitting the brain	It is actually not hard to miss a brain shot on a smaller animal. Aiming between the eyes can be too low for a lot of shots, so always aim for the area above the eyeline.
