The green island is one of the three main puzzle areas in the second chapter of The Talos Principle 2’s DLC, Road to Elysium. Just like the other two islands, it presents the player with eight challenging puzzles, each leading to a Progress Wheel that eventually unlocks one of the three Lighthouses in the Isle of the Blessed. This guide will walk you through every step of solving these puzzles, offering visual hints and detailed explanations.

The Talos Principle 2 DLC: All Orpheus Ascending Puzzle Solutions (Chapter 1)

Orpheus Ascending is the opening chapter of The Talos Principle 2's DLC, Road to Elysium; here's a guide to solving all 17 of its puzzles.

For the beginner players of The Talos Principle 2, here’s a quick glossary that covers the puzzles’ terminologies:

  • RGB Converter: A device that transforms two laser colors into another (e.g., it creates a Blue Laser from Red and Green, Green from Red and Blue, and Red from Green and Blue).
  • Gravshifter: A device that produces Gravity Beams on Magnetic Walls, capable of moving objects across the map.
  • Driller: A tool for creating holes in specific walls.
  • Jammer: An electromagnetic device that can deactivate certain puzzle elements such as Gates and Fans.
  • Activator: When linked to a power source, it can open gates.
  • Clone: An alternative body that you can control.
  • Generator: An RGB (Red, Green, or Blue) device that generates laser beams.
  • Receiver: A red, green, or blue device activated by a laser beam of the same color.
  • Connector: A device used to direct or link laser beams to other devices; it cannot generate a laser beam by itself.
  • Accumulator: Unlike a Connector, it can produce laser beams once charged by a Generator.
  • Pressure Plate: A ground device that triggers puzzle mechanisms when stepped on.
  • Hexahedron: A cube-like object used to block laser beams, reach higher places, or press Pressure Plates.

Green-1: The Man Behind the Certain

  • Link the Activator to the Blue Generator and place it next to the locked gate in the middle.
  • Take the Connector and connect it to the Blue Generator as well.
  • Take the Activator, connect it to the Connector, and place it near the other gate—the one blocking the Jammer.
  • Aim the Jammer at the gate in the middle—the one you unlocked during the first step.
  • Place the Activator behind the metal fences in the room you unlocked. (You want it in the room where you found the Connector.) Keep it connected to the Blue Generator the entire time.
  • Use the Jammer to unlock the final gate and complete the first puzzle of The Talos Principle 2 DLC on the green island.

Green-2: The Snatchback Maneuver

  • Move the Inverter near the entrance closer to the breakable wall on its left.
  • Poke a hole in the wall from the other side using the Driller and pull the Inverter out.
  • Find the Connector in the other room and connect it from the Red Generator near the entrance to the Red Receiver across the room.
  • Drill a hole in the wall next to the Red Receiver.
  • Establish a connection between the Inverter, the Connector, and the Blue Receiver on the other side of the hole.
  • Place the Inverter inside the locked room. (Push it through the hole in the wall.)
  • Get in the unlocked room.
  • Disconnect the Inverter to unlock the final gate and solve the puzzle.

Green-3: The Loop

  • With the Accumulator in your hand, teleport into the locked room.
  • Connect the Accumulator to the Red Generator and Red Receiver and place it over the Pressure Plate.
  • Grab the Teleportation Device and move it out of this room. You want to place it behind the fences to the right of the puzzle entrance. (This is the same spot you stood before the first teleportation.)
  • Return to the other room, take the Accumulator, and teleport to the other side.
  • Connect the Accumulator to all three Red Receivers and place it across the puzzle room’s entrance.
  • Revert the Teleportation Device to where you found it. (Next to the Pressure Plate.)
  • Grab the Accumulator while keeping its current connections, teleport inside the locked area, and place it over the Pressure Plate.
  • Move the Teleportation Device to the other side of the gate one more time.
  • Get back in the Pressure Plate’s room, grab the Accumulator while it’s still connected to Red Receivers, and push it into the other room on the right through the small gap in the fences.
  • Teleport out of the room that you’re in and interact with the Progress Wheel to conclude the mission.

You can place the Teleportation device on the Pressure Plate and leave the room using the ladder on the wall in front of the Red Generator.

Green-4: The Turnabout

  • Connect the Connector to the Red Generator and the floating red platform behind the locked gate.
  • Stand over the Pressure Plate so it unlocks the gate and pulls the moving platform out.
  • Once the moving platform reaches the other end of the room, stop it by disconnecting the Connector.
  • Use the moving platform to access the second puzzle area. Take the Connector with you.
  • Link the Connector to the two Red Receivers near the Hexahedron, as well as the Red Generator near the puzzle’s entrance.
  • Take the Hexahedron and place it over the moving platform.
  • Take the Inverter at the other end of the room, connect it to the Red Generator, and place it over the Hexahedron—which is on the moving platform.
  • Change the Connector’s links by connecting it to the Red Generator and the moving platform.
  • Wait for the moving platform to float back to its initial spot. Once it reaches the Reg Generator, disconnect the Connector so the platform stops.
  • Link the Connector to the Inverter (on top of the Hexahedron) and the Blue Receiver at the other end of the room.
  • Finally, place the Connector over the Pressure Plate before the Blue Receiver to unlock the gate and conclude the puzzle.

Green-5: The Theodorian Knot

  • Aim the Jammer at the gate in the leftmost room through the gap in the wall.
  • Take the RGB Converter and position it over the Pressure Plate.
  • Use the Jammer to disable the Fan in the other room. (Aim it at the Fan through the gap in the wall.)
  • Detach the Fan and replace it with the Hexahedron.
  • Put the Hexahedron over the Pressure Plate across the Blue Generator.
  • Place the RGB Converter over the other Pressure Plate next to the Hexahedron.
  • Aim the Jammer at the gate in front of the Hexahedron and RGB Converter.
  • Move the Connector out of the unlocked area—bring it back to the main room.
  • Connect the RGB Converter to the Blue Generator and the Green Receiver and place it over the Hexahedron.
  • Link the Connector from the RGB Converter to the Red Generator and place it over the other Pressure Plate. This should unlock the final gate and conclude the mission.

Green-6: The Binary Paradox

  • Drill a hole in the wall right across the Red Generator.
  • Connect the Connector to the Red Generator and the Red Receiver at the top (on the other flank of the room), and place it over the Pressure Plate that’s under the Red Generator.
  • Retrieve the second Connector from the unlocked room—below the Red Receiver that you just activated.
  • Take one of the Connectors to the area next to the Pressure Plate and connect it to the Red Receiver there.
  • Replace the Driller with the Connector on the Pressure Plate while maintaining the hole in the wall.
  • Connect this Connector to the Red Generator and the other Connector waiting in front of the Red Receiver.
  • Retrieve the Hexahedron and replace it with the other Driller on the other Pressure Plate. (You can find it near the puzzle’s entrance.)
  • Use the Driller to poke a hole in the wall across the Blue Generator—it’s the same room where you found the Hexahedron.
  • Take a Connector and link it from the Blue Generator to the Blue Receiver on the pillar.
  • Take the other Connector and link it from the Red Generator to the Red Receiver on the pillar.
  • Step over the activated Fan to reach the second floor and interact with the Progress Wheel to conclude the puzzle.

Green-7: The Cutoff Quandary

  • Aim the Jammer at the Fan on the other side of the fence.
  • Teleport to the Clone’s body.
  • Drill a hole in the wall near the ground.
  • Throw the Hexahedron out of this hole into the other side.
  • Grab the Connector and link it from the Red Generator in the ceiling to the Connector on the other side, then place it just in front of the hole in the wall.
  • Teleport back to your body and retrieve the Connector through the hole without disconnecting its current links. (You might need to move the Hexahedron first.)
  • Take control of the Clone and create a head-height hole in the wall.
  • Grab the Platform on the ground and stand in front of the hole you just created. (Stay as close to the hole as possible.)
  • Teleport back to your body, put the Hexahedron near the hole, grab the Connector linked to the Red Generator, and place it over the Platform in your Clone’s hand.
  • Move the Clone and the Platform to the other corner of the room where there’s a disabled Fan. Stand over the Fan and teleport back to your body.
  • Place the Hexahedron on the Fan that’s on your side. (It’s in the opposite corner of the first Fan.)
  • Take the Jammer and disable this Fan as well.
  • Grab the other Connector while maintaining its links and position it over the Hexahedron.
  • Finally, turn off the Jammer so both Fans start working and unlock the Progress Wheel in the middle.

Green-8: The Mechanical Gyre

  • Pull the lever to initiate the puzzle. (Pulling this lever changes the wall.)
  • Connect the Inverter to the Blue Generator across the room and the Red Receiver on your side. (You have to aim through the small gap in the wall.)
  • Retrieve the Connector, return it to the initial room, and connect it from the Red Generator to the Red Receiver. (Your goal is to keep the gate open so you can disconnect the Inverter and take it with you.)
  • Take the Inverter to the other room and connect it to the Blue Generator and the Red Receiver blocking the gate.
  • Pull the lever on the device and head to the unlocked area. You want to change the wall to the one with a locked gate.
  • Find the Jammer in the other room and aim at the gate that you called for in the previous step.
  • Get back to the initial area and retrieve the Connector.
  • You should connect the Connector to the Inverter and the Red Receiver to the left of the Jammer. (You will need to reposition the Inverter without changing its links.)
  • Take the Driller and bring it to the same room as the Inverter.
  • Pull the lever on the wall, changing it to a breakable one.
  • Poke a hole in the wall using the Driller.
  • Retrieve the Connector and link it from the two Red receivers near the Jammer to the Red Generator in the first room through the hole you created using the drill.
  • Connect the Inverter to the Connector and the Blue Receiver next to the Jammer.
  • Take the Jammer and bring it back to the same room as the Connector and the Driller. Do the same for the Inverter.
  • Pull the lever on the wall twice so it rotates back to the one with two Receivers.
  • Connect the Inverter from the Blue Generator to the Red Receiver on the wall.
  • Link the Connector with the Blue Generator and the Blue Receiver on the wall.
  • Finally, move the Jammer out and use it to unlock the last gate—the one that’s blocking the Progress Wheel. That’s it; you just concluded the final puzzle in the green island of The Talos Principle 2’s DLC.
