The Talos Principle 2’s DLC, Road to Elysium, introduces 17 main puzzles in the first chapter, Orpheus Ascending. Below, you can find step-by-step guides for each puzzle, along with visual hints.

Here’s a quick glossary that will help beginner The Talos Principle 2 players better understand the game’s terminologies:

  • Generator: This is an RGB (Red, Green, or Blue) device that is the source of laser beams.
  • Receiver: A Receiver is a red, green, or blue device that’s activated by a same-color laser beam.
  • Connector: You can use this device to move the laser beams or connect them to other devices. The Connector cannot generate a laser beam on its own.
  • Accumulator: Unlike a Connector, an Accumulator can generate laser beams once it’s charged by a Generator.
  • Pressure Plate: A button that activates puzzles mechanics when pressed.
  • Hexahedron: A cube-like object used to block laser beams, access higher grounds, or press the Pressure Plates.

Vastness (Puzzle #4)

  • Connect the Red Generator to the Red Receiver on the left flank of the hall using the Connector.
  • Retrieve the second Connector from the unlocked room.
  • Use the Connector to create a line from the Red Generator to the Red Receiver across the hall through the gap in the wall.
  • Connect this second Connector to the Blue Generator, Blue Receiver, and Red Receiver (the one on the other side of the gap).
  • Place the second Connector on the Red Pressure Plate.

Chain (Puzzle #5)

  • Retrieve the Red Accumulator from the left flank of the hall.
  • Connect the Red Accumulator to the Connector across the hall on the right flank of the room.
  • Retrieve the Blue Accumulator and connect it to the Connector that you set up in the second step.

Domino Effect (Puzzle #7)

  • Activate the puzzle by pulling the lever.
  • Connect the first Connector to the leftmost Red Connector on the other side and the Red Generator at the top.
  • Connect the second Connector to the sixth Connector (from the left) on the other side and also the Blue Generator at the top.
  • For the third Connector, connect it from the Red Generator at the top to the fourth Connector from the right on the other side.
  • Lastly, create a connection from the Blue Generator to the third Connector from the right on the other side.

Aim your Connectors at the gaps between the gates so the laser can reach the other side.

Concatenation (Puzzle #8)

  • Place the first Connector on the Red Pressure Plate and connect it to the deactivated Connector right across the room (in front of the Blue Receiver).
  • Grab the other Connector on the left flank of the room and connect it to the Red Generator and the other Connector in front of it.
  • Retrieve the third Connector in this area and connect it to the Blue Generator (near the entrance) and the first Connector that you placed on the Pressure Plate.

Causation Nexus (Puzzle #9)

  • Use your body to interrupt the Red Laser line coming from the left side.
  • Repeat the action with the Red Laser beam on the right side.
  • Next, stand on the Pressure Plate across the hall to allow the Blue Laser beam to penetrate the structure.
  • Again, interrupt the Blue Laser beam on the right side using your body.
  • Stand on the Pressure Plate near the entrance to enable the Red Laser beam to enter the structure.
  • Stand on the other Pressure Plate so that the Blue Laser beam can enter the structure one more time.
  • This sequence will cause a Hexahedron (a cube) to drop.
  • Use the cube to reach the memory terminal across the hall. (Place it near the structure and jump on it.)

Incarnation (Puzzle #10)

  • Use your body to block the Blue Laser beam across the hall.
  • Proceed to block the Red Laser beam in the middle of the room.
  • Next, block the other Red Laser beam near the puzzle entrance.

  • Block the Red Laser beam again at the end of the hallway.
  • On your way back, stand in front of the Blue Generator for a few seconds.
  • Retrieve the memory and exit the area.

Breakthrough (Puzzle #11)

  • Connect the first Inverter from the Blue Generator to the Green Receiver on the right flank and then to the Red Receiver across the hall.
  • Retrieve the second Inverter.
  • Connect the second Inverter from the Blue Generator to the Green Receiver on the left flank and then to the same Red Receiver across the hall where you connected the first Inverter.
  • Wait for the Red Laser beams to intersect with the Green ones and unlock the puzzle gate.

Switchboard (Puzzle #12)

the first image of Switchboard puzzle in the talos principle 2 dlc chapter one.
  • Connect the first Connector to the Red Generator and the first Connector in the second row on the wall.
  • Connect the second Connector from the Blue Generator to the third Connector in the first row, the second Connector in the second row, and the third Connector in the fourth row.

Adjust the second Connector’s position so that its beams don’t interfere with the first one.

  • Connect the second Connector from the Blue Generator to the sixth Connector from the left on the opposite side.
  • From the leftmost Connector on your side (set up in the first step), connect the third Connector to the fifth Connector from the right on the other side. Note that the third Connector must not be linked to any of the Generators.
  • Connect the last Connector to both the Blue Generator and the third Connector from the right on the other side.

FlowControl (Puzzle #15)

  • Position two cubes to the left and right of the second Connector on the ground (where the Green Laser beams are).
  • Position one cube between the second and third Red Connectors on the stairs to the right side of the room.
  • Position another cube in front of the second Green Connector on the stairs to the left side of the room.
  • Place another cube in front of the last Connector on the stairs to the right side.
