Now, EA has teased the content coming to The Sims 4. Effective immediately, a new update has launched that adds some new swimwear to the game, as seen in a brief teaser released by the company. At the moment, the information regarding the new releases is intentionally vague. The Sims 4 says that the "stylish updates" "polish the look" of the Sims. Given the swimwear in the first release and the image shared with this description, the next launch may have to do with Sims' hair and nails.

The two destination kits are similarly vague. A small thumbnail was shown of what looks like an old-fashioned bar or eatery, as well as a pool with a fancy waterfall. The text of "nectar leading to a provacative plunge" hints at the idea of new drinking locales and pool activities. Finally, the expansion pack has only been given a brief description of "Made waves, but we WooHoo'd anyway." The expansion is also described as being flirtatious. While the destination kits are more straightforward in their hints, the nature of the expansion pack is largely a mystery at this point, other than having something to do with summertime romance. The reference to "waves," however, may indicate that it's something to do with the beach, so perhaps the Sims will be going on vacation somewhere on the water.

What's Next for The Sims?

It's clear from the announcement of these new releases that there's still plenty for players of The Sims 4 to look forward to. However, that doesn't mean there isn't a new entry on the horizon. The Sims 5, codenamed Project Rene, is in development at the studio. However, very little has been officially revealed about the game since its initial announcement back in 2022. While there have been leaks, the game could undergo significant alterations prior to its launch. At the moment, players will just have to wait, but there's certainly no lack of content for The Sims 4 to keep fans of the franchise occupied.
