The Sims franchise consists of several life simulator games. The Sims Team has gradually improved and added much more complex features with every entry that's released. The Sims 4 took it up a notch, as it gave Sim's emotions on top of the moodlets that they already felt.
The Sims 4: How to Lose and Gain Weight
Players have several options for changing their Sims' weight quickly or overtime in The Sims 4.
Emotions can greatly impact certain tasks and activities in The Sims 4, and there are even certain objectives that can only be accomplished if the Sim feels a certain way. The Uncomfortable emotion is generally seen in a bad light, but it has its advantage under specific circumstances. This guide will show gamers how they can easily get their Sims feeling Uncomfortable and how they can use this emotion in their favor.
How to Get the Uncomfortable Emotion
There are several ways to get a Sim to feel Uncomfortable in The Sims 4. The easiest and safest way to get a Sim Uncomfortable is to stop taking care of their needs.
Gamers should still allow their Sims to use the bathroom because if they have an accident, they might feel Embarrassed instead.
If autonomy is on, the Sim will start looking after themselves, so gamers should cancel any of their actions or turn off the autonomy setting. Here are other ways to boost the Uncomfortable emotion:
- Having dirty surroundings and puddles
- Sleeping on a cheap bed
- Using cheap appliances
- Eating spoiled food or too many quick meals
If players let their Sim accumulate too many Uncomfortable moodlets, they will eventually start to feel Very Uncomfortable.
How to Take Advantage of the Uncomfortable Emotion
Oftentimes, gamers won't want their Sims to get the Uncomfortable emotion. Usually, it means that they're in an unpleasant situation or that their needs are too low. On top of this, it'll make it more difficult for them to increase their skills as they're more reluctant to complete tasks and activities. Feeling Uncomfortable in The Sims 4 also makes Sims more likely to fail. So, even if they've got a high skill level, they'll be less likely to paint masterpieces or write bestsellers, for example. However, this isn't always a bad thing.
There are some circumstances in which gamers will want to make poor quality items, but they might have a hard time doing so due to their high skill. The most common example of this is the Pufferfish Nigiri recipe. If a Sim makes a poor quality Pufferfish Nigiri, it'll actually be lethal, making it one of the easiest ways to kill another Sim. Additionally, the Market Magnate aspiration requires Sims to sell a poor quality food item for over 100 Simoleons.
In both of these situations, Sims must cook poor quality items, but if their Cooking Skill Level is too high, they won't be able to. Thankfully, players can increase their chances of getting a poor quality meal if their Sim is feeling Uncomfortable or Very Uncomfortable.
The Sims 4 is available on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
