The Sims 4 is an ever-expanding life simulation game where players can tell stories, build worlds, and create relationships. While the base game is free, many features can be added with DLC. For example, horse lovers can live their ranching dreams with the Horse Ranch expansion pack and raise animals or host community ranch events.
A Ranch Gathering is a social event for Sims to make friends and show off their farms. Similar to other events, there are several rewards that players can earn for hosting a Ranch Gathering. However, the event is very hands-on. Players can use this guide to host a successful Ranch Gathering in The Sims 4: Horse Ranch.
How to Host a Ranch Gathering
Ranch Gatherings are a fun party event that brings Sims together to Cowpoke dance, drink some Nectar, and hang out by a fire pit. Players will want to ensure they have met enough Sims to complete all the group goals. The town center of Chestnut Ridge is the perfect place to meet the local community.
There are several ways players can have a Ranch Gathering. One is to plan one in the future by using the calendar. The second is to use a cell phone, but this method starts the event immediately. After opening the Event Menu, players can find the Ranch Gathering and select goaled or un-goaled.
Players can invite friends and acquaintances or have the event as an "Open Invitation." Like other events, they can choose the main household or other venues. To complete the goals, purchase a Cowpoke Dance Floor, Fire Pit, and Nectar-making equipment.
Ranch Gathering Event Rewards
Ranch Gatherings consist of lots of social interaction with other Sims and group activities. In order to be successful, players should stay active during the event to complete all the goals within the allotted time.
The most challenging goal is to coordinate the group dance, but players can work around this by forming a group with the guest and having them dance together on a Cowpoke Dance Floor. Players will also want to prepare ahead of time by making multiple bottles of Nectar and having a grill to complete the eating and drinking tasks.
While social events typically reward players with items, ranch events work a little differently. Sims are rewarded with a donation to their farm at the end of the event. Gold medals result in the most Simoleons, but players will earn at least a small amount if they get a bronze medal.
The Sims 4: Horse Ranch is available now on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
