A talented Sims 4 player online has shared their epic recreation of Kevin McCallister's house from Home Alone. Seeing this impressive Sims 4 build come together is a great way to get into the holiday spirit, with Home Alone being one of the most iconic Christmas films ever.
Despite being released over a decade ago, the Sims 4 community continues to impress with its incredible builds. The game gives players the tools to bring their most ambitious ideas to life, which players have been doing since its 2014 launch. The game's lifespan is undeniably impressive, appealing to tons of different types of gamers. As a life-simulator, it's still the best-in-class, and the same can be said of its building tools. There was even a Sims 4 player who recreated Red Dead Redemption 2's Rhodes, showing how gamers are using it to bring their other favorite franchises into the game.
YouTuber create4sims shared the Sims 4 build, which has been made to resemble Kevin McCallister's house from Home Alone. The video chronicles the creation of the build from start to finish, with create4sims talking through their process throughout. It's cool to hear why specific decisions were made, and their attention to detail is incredible. The home feels lived-in, even knowing everything has been hand-placed by the player, all while remaining faithful to how the home appears in the movie. However, McCallister's dangerous traps that he uses to torment Harry and Marv don't appear in the build.
The Sims 4 Home Alone House Recreation
Perhaps most impressive is that create4sims didn't use any Sims 4 CC for this build - every item used here can be found in many of the game's different packs. The exact packs used are available in the video's description, and there are plenty at work here. Unfortunately, create4sims has not yet made this particular build available on their Sims 4 Gallery, but hopefully, this will change in the future so gamers can play a save in Kevin McCallister's house.
After such a long time, it's somewhat surprising the EA has not yet chosen to make The Sims 5 a reality. At the moment, it certainly seems like there are no plans to, either. Earlier this year, EA confirmed it's not making The Sims 5, with focus remaining on the ongoing development of new expansions for The Sims 4. A new title in the long-running series seemed like an inevitability until that point. The good news is that players can continue playing The Sims 4, knowing it won't be abandoned any time soon.
