A player of The Sims 4 has recreated the popular neighborhood of Forgotten Hollow known from the Vampires game pack, and the community seems to prefer this build to the original one. Forgotten Hollow’s world was introduced in The Sims 4 via the fourth game pack, noting the return of vampire playstyles, and the neighborhood offered five lots surrounding a statue of the location’s founder Vlad.
The Sims 4 was first released in 2014 for PC, standing as the fourth main installment in the popular social sim franchise. Fueled by a new custom game engine, players can create and customize the titular characters, build and furnish homes, and essentially simulate the Sims’ entire lives. The Sims 4 recently added a new High Street Shopping Collection to gameplay, allowing players to further customize their characters with new outfits and accessories. Fans also have a new multiplayer title to look forward to called “Project Rene,” which is currently in development.

The neighborhood’s gothic-inspired buildings and interiors underwent a revamp, and the creator noted they used the OtisFX mod to apply Reshade effects to the build. Joining regular mods, The Sims 4 also has a long list of trait mods to refine Sims’ personalities, all of which help to establish a unique experience for each player. The creator also stated they weren’t happy with how Forgotten Hollow looked previously, which is what motivated them to undertake the refurbishment.

New players indulging in The Sims 4: Vampires may need a helping hand to get the lay of the land, but veteran players accustomed to Forgotten Hollow were extremely impressed with the creator’s attempt. The lighting in each image attracted a lot of praise from Redditors, and many agreed the revamp was how the neighborhood should have looked in the first place. The details included in the pool room, which was from Vlad’s house, was another talking point, and the creator said this was their favorite part.
The Sims 4: Vampires was released in 2017, and in tandem with the Sims’ vampirism, supernatural powers were also granted. There are several ways to become a vampire in The Sims 4 game pack, and the eternity dwellers can socialize with other, cursed characters in Forgotten Hollow. Additionally, coffins and pipe organ items were added to the inventory, and new gameplay mechanics involving dark forms and a new approach to hunger were also introduced.
