How to Get Entrepreneur Skill in The Sims 4
Skills represent hobbies and activities that Sims can engage in, and as their skills increase, they unlock special social interactions, object actions, and buffs. Additionally, Sims must improve their skills to earn promotions in most careers. While many skills are available in the base game, some are only unlocked with downloadable content (DLC).
The Entrepreneur Skill is introduced in The Sims 4: High School Years, allowing Sims to become self-starters. Sims can increase their Entrepreneur Skill by doing the following:
- Odd Jobs
- Freelance Careers
- Publish books
- Selling art to collectors or art galleries
- Sell items on Trendi
- Join the Video Game Streamer side hustle
- Join the Simfluencer side hustle
- Selling food at a food stand (Home Chef Hustle DLC)
- Licensing songs (Get Famous DLC)
- Crafting and selling items on Plopsy (Nifty Knitting DLC)
Odd Jobs
Odd Jobs are random gigs that Sims can pick up online for extra money. These tasks range from food delivery to cleaning businesses.
Sims can find Odd Jobs using their phone under the Business app. Select "Find Odd Jobs" and choose from the pop-up menu. Odd Jobs are rabbit holes, and Sims will leave when it’s time for the job and return once it’s completed.
Freelance Careers
Freelance Careers offer more consistent work compared to Odd Jobs. Sims can join a Freelance Career by using a computer, cellphone, or the Career Panel at the bottom of the screen and selecting "Join Career."
Sims can become freelance artists, writers, programmers, photographers, crafters (Eco Lifestyle DLC), or paranormal investigators (Paranormal Stuff DLC). After choosing a trade, Sims can "Check for Gigs" using their cellphone or a computer.
Gigs can be canceled at any time, but Sims won't earn any Entrepreneur points if they cancel.
