Upon creating a new Sim in The Sims 4, players can establish a relationship with other Sims in the same household. Initially, every new Sim will be designated as a standard roommate. In addition, it is important to note that the choice of relationships with the new Sim will be contingent upon the age of the player's Sim.

When creating a new household of Sims, players can designate them as siblings, spouses, parents and children, or simply roommates.
