The Sims 4 has given fans their first glimpse at the Adventure Awaits pack, revealing its key features. Despite coming out over a decade ago, The Sims 4 is still going strong, as several DLC packs continue to be released for it every year. While this remains a controversial subject for many in its community, the game has high replayability value, and the additional content only heightens that fact, whether it's with kits, stuff packs, game packs, or expansion packs.
Even though the latest expansion pack, Enchanted by Nature, was released in July, a Sims 4 roadmap leaked in August revealed that another EP and various kits were already in the works. On September 2, EA confirmed the existence of an upcoming EP and announced that its first trailer would come out within a couple of days, making fans eager to learn more about what was to come.

On September 4, the trailer for Adventure Awaits, the previously leaked name for the expansion pack, went live at 11 AM ET, and fans got a proper look at the features that would be coming to the game on October 2. The Adventure Awaits expansion pack is bringing new skills to The Sims 4, such as papercrafting, diving, archery, and entomology. It will also make it possible for players to build their getaway locations and assign rules to fully customize these builds, along with introducing more activities, especially for younger Sims.
The Adventure Awaits expansion pack is set in Gibbi Point, a new world with three lively neighborhoods, each with its own set of available activities and getaway locations. While the pack comes with its own getaways, it also allows players to make their own, something that Simmers who prefer Build Mode will surely love. Adventure Awaits allows players to make their own custom venues, which can be home to a getaway location, a summer camp for kids, or even a reality show house. The activities and rules that players set are what will bring these venues to life and define them.
To learn more about the Adventure Awaits expansion pack, players can watch the trailer and read the aforementioned announcement blog post, as the latter provides an even more detailed look at the game's upcoming features. Players can look forward to engaging with the new Sims 4 expansion pack when it releases on October 2.
