The Quarry has an intriguing narrative since a small choice could branch out an undesired ending. To say the least, having to save nine protagonists from the constant danger is quite difficult. Especially when it comes to figuring out how to reach Silas, the White Wolf, since he’s the reason behind the curse.
Luckily, with games like The Quarry, there’s always a way out. By following very specific steps, players can convince Travis to cooperate with Laura and find the White Wolf, ending this curse forever and unlocking Above The Law Achievement.
How To Get The Above The Law Achievement In The Quarry
To get Travis and Laura to work together, certain choices need to be made in multiple chapters while players are controlling Laura.
Prologue: Be Honest
After Laura leaves Max to fix the car and explore the woods, she’ll find some important Clues and useful Tarot Cards. Other than that, Laura encounters a ghost that freaks her out, making her run to Max and begging him to start the car.
Once both realize that the car is stuck, Sheriff Hackett appears and gets it out. Once Travis questions the couple about the accident, it’s crucial that Laura is HONEST, as it will help in future chapters.
Chapter 7: Find Syringe And Don’t Take The Gun
When Laura meets up with the group at the Pool House after Nick’s transformation, she tells them her story as she becomes playable again. Once Travis forces Laura to watch Max as he transforms, players must explore the Police Station.
In the last room on the second floor, there’s a syringe inside a cabinet. Grab it and put it inside the loose brick found at the beginning of the chapter.
Next, when Travis comes back from hunting, he gives Laura a poem to read that describes how to handle werewolves. The TAKE GUN choice will appear but don’t accept it. Otherwise, Travis won’t trust Laura.
Later, when Travis comes running to check on a pretend-ill Laura, complete the QTEs to tranquilize him and knock him out.
Chapter 9: Shoot Constance And Chris Hackett
The moment Laura is captured by Constance in chapter nine, do the QTE successfully and Travis’s mother will get her face blown off.
Near the end of the chapter, while players are controlling Ryan, Laura will transform and Chris Hackett will be fighting with Bobby. When given the choice, shoot Chris to cure Laura and Max.
This sequence of events will make Travis request the aid of Laura and Ryan in finding and killing Silas.
Picking the SUSPICIOUS dialogue option will make Travis and Laura work together, thus earning the Above The Law Achievement.
