The Plucky Squire is a mixture of 2D/3D action platformer that revolves around the story of Jot and his friends as the game turns more pages on their adventure. As Devolver Digital is publishing the game, there are many players interested in trying it out for themselves. With The Plucky Squire now released on all consoles and PCs, players have a few questions regarding the game, one of which is how the Save feature works.
The game has two difficulty settings and multiple Accessibility options that make the game much more manageable for all players.
The Plucky Squire Has Bad News for Nintendo Switch Gamers
Devolver Digital's The Plucky Squire launches in just a few days, but Nintendo Switch players get the short end of the stick in one regard.
How Does The Save System Work In The Plucky Squire
Fans of The Plucky Squire might be disappointed to hear that the game does not offer Manual Saves at any point. The game relies purely on the Autosave feature, indicated by a "Saving..." Message on the bottom right side of the screen accompanied by a feather. There are several instances where the game Autosaves, some of which are at the start of a new Chapter, at specific pages, and after you are done browsing Martina's Shop.
Players do not need to worry about how they can check whether the game has been saved recently before exiting the game. This is because when you press the Quit option, a message will pop up telling you the exact time the game was last saved.
PlayStation Plus Method Of Saving
There is good news for players playing The Plucky Squire on PlayStation 5 with access to PlayStation Plus. Like every other PS5 game, players can head to the Saved Data and Game/App Settings to upload the saved data to the Cloud Storage. This allows players to have a Save File that they can download and resume if they miss a collectible or Trophy.
Can You Turn Off Auto Save In The Plucky Squire?
You CANNOT turn off the autosave feature. The Autosave feature has to remain because no Manual Save option is present. Players can find three Save Files on the Main Menu, which you can use to start new playthroughs. These Save Files can be cleared to make space for another, and pressing one of the prompts allows the player to check the Save History. The History includes multiple Auto Saves from which the players can choose and resume the game.
