By far the most controversial season in the show, Season 9 of The Office brought Jim & Pam to the brink of divorce, turned back all of Andy's character development, and often prioritized relationship drama over comedy. All 25 episodes of The Office: Superfan Episodes Season 9 will drop at once on Peacock on Monday, January 26, 2026. Creator Greg Daniels has been working with the show's original editors from back in the day to splice in deleted scenes and alternate cuts into each episode. As The Office fans know, the Superfan Episodes are a labor of love, which genuinely enhance the show with new material, jokes, and even character development. The rise of characters like Angela and Oscar becoming more prominent after Michael leaves feels less jarring when you realize they were always present in the writers' minds; editors were just cutting their scenes to focus on Michael, Dwight, Jim, and Pam.

Greg Daniels and his editors even reference the series' old dailies, splicing in footage that never made the cut, but always deserved to be in the final episode. Nearly every episode of The Office has multiple minutes of deleted scenes that never made it to broadcast.
