As fans prepare to make their return to Middle-earth with The Lord of the Rings: The War of the Rohirrim, Warner Bros. Has shared a stunning new battle-ready poster for the upcoming anime, which is set for release on December 13, 2024. Based on beloved characters created by J. R. R. Tolkien and directed by Kenji Kamiyama, who also made popular animes like Ghost in the Shell and Ultraman, The Lord of the Rings: The War of the Rohirrim tells the story of the ninth King of Rohan, Helm Hammerhand and the last of the original line of succession, as he and his family fight against an army of Dunlendings.

The Lord of the Rings: The War of the Rohirrim was initially delayed due to the SAG-AFTRA strikes, which meant that its April 2024 release date got pushed back along with the eagerly anticipated Dune 2. Thankfully, Lord of the Rings enthusiasts won't have too much longer to wait before they can experience a thrilling fantasy world set 183 years before the events of Peter Jackson's iconic film trilogy.

Even though fans only just got a recent look at The Lord of the Rings: The War of the Rohirrim first key art reveal in September, Warner Bros. And New Line Pictures didn't want to stop there. Now, another new visual for the anime movie has been revealed (via The Nerdist), which shows off an armed Hera and her father, Helm Hammerhand, who is seen towering over the other characters. The poster also includes Hera's friend, Wulf, the son of Freca, a Rohirrim lord, as he stares with determination straight ahead. Set under a menacingly and somber sky, the new art poster offers a glance into what viewers can expect in terms of epic battles and the dark underbelly of Middle-earth, in what many hope to be a great homage to the classic The Lord of the Rings movies.
