Return to Moria is a survival crafting video game based in the world of J.R.R. Tolkien. The game follows the journey of Dwarves as they undertake the adventure to take back their home, the land of Moria, set beneath Misty Mountains. Players will mine deposits and walls, and the items collected are used to craft weapons, structures, and consumables.

The Iron War Axe is one such weapon that comes in handy in the game. Luckily, it can be obtained pretty early in the game. However, crafting it can be somewhat tricky for beginners. For those who don’t know how to craft the Iron War Axe in Return to Moria, this guide is here to help.

Crafting the Iron War Axe in Return to Moria

As players explore the world of Return to Moria, they will encounter different broken statues. If they restore the statues, they will be rewarded with pieces of crafting recipes.

Similarly, to craft the Iron War Axe, players will need its crafting recipe, which can be obtained by the restoration of two broken dwarves statues. It’s pretty easy to find these two statues; one is outside the base and the other is slightly farther away. However, players can’t know for sure since the game is procedurally generated, so it’s different for every player. These statues can be restored with 10 pieces of Stone and an Iron Hammer. Players need to simply walk to the statues and interact with them to start the restoration.

With the restoration of the two dwarf statues, players will now have access to the Iron War Axe’s crafting recipe. Once it has been unlocked, players can return to forge it. To craft this weapon, players will need four Wood Scraps, two Hide Scraps, and two Iron Ingots.

Once players have successfully forged the weapon, they can now use it. As the name suggests, it’s an axe and is most useful in battles and combat. It can serve as a great melee weapon, and can also be used as a bludgeon to smash crates or boxes.

One thing to know about this weapon is that it is a bit slow to wield, so players need to be crafty while using it. However, it is the best option for when players need to hit some solid, heavy blows to their enemies. Furthermore, this one-handed weapon can also be used to attack multiple enemies simultaneously.
