It may sound obvious, but before farming, players will need a farming place. In the case of Return to Moria, players will require a Farm Patch or Farm Box. However, these items are not unlocked by default, so players will have to craft them. Here are the recipes for both:

Farm Patch

  • 2 x Bat Droppings
  • 3 x Ihraz Granite.

Farm Box

  • 6 x Bat Droppings
  • 10 x Ihraz Granite.

Luckily, both these items are quite easy to acquire. Bat Droppings can be obtained by killing bats, while Ihraz Granite can be mined in the Lower Deeps area. After reaching there, players will find deposits of various ores, including Iron and Bronze. While mining, keep an eye on the granite surrounding the ore, as it will drop as Ihraz Granite.

Apart from a farming place, lighting is another crucial factor when it comes to farming in Return to Moria. It is important to note that different plants have different lighting needs, and seeds can be divided into two types, i.e., Dark seeds and Light seeds. Plants like mushrooms fall into the category of Dark Seeds as they don’t require much light to grow. Cabbage, on the other hand, is a light seed and needs light to grow.
