A The Last of Us fan highlights a location that is also featured in Uncharted 3: Drake's Deception, something that a lot of fans had previously missed. Although Naughty Dog had never confirmed that the two games are in the same universe, there have been references spread across the two worlds, allowing fans to argue The Last of Us and Uncharted franchises might be connected somehow.

The Last of Us is filled with minute details that leave the community time and again. In fact, some are still coming across subtle touches they had missed in their previous playthroughs, even years after the release of the game. For instance, one fan recently discovered that Joel's house from The Last of Us Part 2 is present in the first game as well. Amid that, a fan has underlined a detail in The Last of Us that is extremely easy to miss and pays homage to Uncharted 3: Drake's Deception in a unique way.

In a new post on The Last of Us subreddit user jynx33 highlights a location in Uncharted 3: Drake's Deception which is also in The Last of Us, which may be an intentional Naughty Dog Easter egg. Players visit a bar in the first chapter of Uncharted 3: Drake's Deception and it is in fact the same bar that is present toward the end of the Pittsburgh level in The Last of Us, right after Henry and Sam leave. There are quite a number of similarities, with the glass design right above the bar and the darts being two of the most striking similarities between the two locations. Not to mention, the dart board all but gives away the connection.

The Last of Us Fans Debate The Uncharted Easter Egg

Despite the similarities, some fans think that this is not another The Last of Us Easter egg, but just assets being reused in the game. It is not uncommon for assets to be reused, and there are plenty of instances in the games where similarities can be spotted, but considering this is an entire location instead of a small asset, there is a chance that this is totally intentional.

Another important detail is that the bar in Uncharted 3: Drake's Deception has a newspaper that discusses a fungal infection, which is seemingly a nod toward the Cordyceps outbreak in the world of The Last of Us. However, it should be noted that Uncharted 3: Drake's Deception's bar scene is based in the UK, whereas The Last of Us scene takes place in Pittsburgh. As such, these locations are likely not the same per se, but they share such similar visual characteristics that the Last of Us version feels like an homage.
