After an emotional season one finale cliffhanger with Ellie realizing that Joel is keeping secrets from her, and she can't trust him anymore, The Last of Us season two can't come quick enough for fans and many have recently even worked out the actual release date for when its storyline will continue. Thankfully, for those who haven't played the games, The Last of Us can be watched entirely without having jumped into either of the PlayStation titles, but for those who have experienced the traumatizing sequel, season two looks set to capture its heartbreak and raw emotion. However, The Last of Us season two won’t be a full adaptation, according to Craig Mazin, and will only contain seven episodes this time around, which is in stark contrast to its last season, which consisted of nine.
