Set four years after the events of the first game, The Last of Us 2 reintroduces players to Ellie through a host of new gameplay and narrative segments. Continuing the tradition of Ellie being obsessed with comic book paraphernalia from her Savage Starlight addiction in Part 1, The Last of Us 2 sees her collect superhero Trading Cards to fuel her nerdy passions.
In this guide, we’ll show you where to find all 50 Trading Cards throughout The Last of Us 2 in order to earn the “Master Set” trophy. This guide will be split up into the various Chapters of the game, so beware of some mild spoilers if this is your first time playing.
The Last of Us 2 Coin Locations: Where to Find State Quarters
In The Last of Us 2, players can collect up to 32 different state quarters that are hidden throughout the game by fully exploring the chapters.
Jackson – Waking Up: Trading Card Locations
This segment begins as you take control of Ellie for the first time and contains two Trading Cards.
Waking Up Trading Card 1 of 2 – Seismicayla
After leaving Ellie’s home, follow Jessie through the gardens and onto the main street of Jackson. While discussing Jesse’s ex, Dina, hang a left around the corner of the large blue building to find The Last of Us 2’s first Trading Card pinned to a corkboard.
Waking Up Trading Card 2 of 2 – The Keene Twins
After our queer protagonist grabs some “bigot sandwiches” from the bar, turn around before following Maria out and collect The Keene Twins Trading Card from a barrel by the dartboard.
Jackson – Patrol: Trading Card Locations
Rejoining Ellie and Dina as they ride across a frozen stream, this chapter sees the pair search the outskirts of Jackson for Infected. There are two Trading Cards in this area.
Patrol Trading Card 1 of 2 – Tesseracter
Much later, Ellie and Dina will ride through a dilapidated street where you can dismount your horses to search the nearby houses. Past the RV, on the right side of the street, climb atop a pickup truck to reach the second floor of a blue house. Through the window, you can find this Tesseracter Trading Card on a shelf in the closet. If you can’t find it, Dina will grab it for you.
Patrol Trading Card 2 of 2 – Laurent Foucault, CEO SPARK
Further ahead, taking shelter from a snowstorm in a library, break through a window and follow Dina through to the kids’ section after finding Eugene's Firefly Pendant. The Laurent Foucault Trading Card can be found on a desk in a storage closet on the left.
Seattle Day 1 – The Gate: Trading Card Locations
Seattle Day 1 in The Last of Us Part 2 begins as Ellie and Dina ride through the Washington woods outside Seattle. There are four Trading Cards scattered around this part of the map.
The Gate Trading Card 1 of 4 – Motivator
Riding through the woods at the very beginning of The Gate chapter, you will enter a small clearing where Dina will point out the nearby cars. The Motivator Trading Card can be found at the bus stop on the left.
The Gate Trading Card 2 of 4 – The Starfire Kids
Eventually, Ellie and Dina will reach the highway leading to Seattle. Before dropping down to the river, you can find this graffitied portable office on the left. Enter and take The Starfire Kids Trading Card from the corkboard on the wall.
The Gate Trading Card 3 of 4 - Chessmaster
Immediately after climbing over the wall into the Seattle Quarantine Zone, enter the guard tower on the left and take the ladder up, not down. In the room above, find the Chessmaster Trading Card on a desk to the left.
The Gate Trading Card 4 of 4 – Oozer
Dropping down the tower, now, break through the window of the mobile command center ahead and exit through the rear. Outside, find the large generator and power it up. Before plugging the cable into the gate, throw it over the roof of the command center and use it to climb up. The Oozer Trading Card can be found beneath some weapon scrap on top of the mobile command center.
All Safe Combinations and Codes in The Last of Us 2
The Last of Us 2 has hidden safes scattered throughout the game; here's where to find them and the codes that will unlock them.
Seattle Day 1 – Downtown: Trading Card Locations
As Ellie and Dina probe further into Seattle, they must venture into Downtown for some gasoline. This chapter begins when Ellie and Dina first spot the Serevena Hotel, and contains five Trading Cards to collect.
Downtown Trading Card 1 of 5 – Doctor Uckmann
Entering Downtown proper atop Shimmer, make your way towards the large domed building and stop at the two-storey bombed-out building on the right. Head up the broken stairs and smash a window to hop over a gap and reach the second floor. In a crate at the top, you can grab this Doctor Uckmann Trading Card – a cheeky nod to The Last of Us 2’s game director.
Downtown Trading Card 2 of 5 – Das Wort
To the right of the large domed building, enter Valiant Music Shop on the corner of Marion and 5th. Inside, in a desk drawer behind the counter, grab the Das Wort card. At the store, Ellie can also play an acoustic version of A-Ha's "Take on Me" for Dina
Downtown Trading Card 3 of 5 – Flo
Opening the safe at Gate West 2 on Madison and 5th allows you to obtain the Flo Trading Card.
Downtown Trading Card 4 of 5 – Big Blue
Break the window of The Last of Us' version of Starbucks Coffee on Spring and 5th, and take the Big Blue Trading Card from a drawer behind the counter.
Downtown Trading Card 5 of 5 – Know It All
Upon powering up the Gate covered in anti-FEDRA graffiti. And entering the WLF Serevena Base, clear out the Infected and go upstairs. In the twin bedroom on the left, open the drawer in the nightstand to find the Know It All Trading Card.
Seattle Day 1 – Eastbrook Elementary: Trading Card Locations
Ambushed outside the Serevena, Ellie will have to fight her way through an elementary school to escape her captors. There’s only one Trading Card to be found in this segment.
Eastbrook Elementary Trading Card 1 of 1 – Cardio
Finally leaving the school via the rooftop vents, hop over to a neighboring apartment. Vault an overturned couch inside and enter the bedroom with a hole in the wall. The Cardio Trading Card is in an end table drawer there.
Seattle Day 1 – Capitol Hill: Trading Card Locations
Escaping Eastbrook Elementary and reaching street level, Ellie and Dina begin searching for Leah, one of Joel’s killers. This large area contains six Trading Cards.
Capitol Hill Trading Card 1 of 6 – Kinnard, Esq.
Immediately after dropping down to the street after the cutscene, take the first right down an alleyway and enter the blue house, number 3. The Kinnard, Esq. Trading Card is in a drawer beside a couch.
Capitol Hill Trading Card 2 of 6 – Rockafella
Approaching the Capitol Inn, walk past the carpark and pass the green WLF banner to head around the back. Climb through the window draped in blue tarp and grab the Rockafella Trading Card from the trashcan on the bedroom floor.
Capitol Hill Trading Card 3 of 6 – Doctor Stem
Further into Capitol Hill, you can find a gas station littered with WLF soldiers. Across the street, in the back of the gay village bookstore, there are a handful of Infected stalking the bathrooms. Deal with them and take the Doctor Stem Trading Card from a chest between two chairs.
The Last of Us 2: All Weapon Workbench Locations
There are 25 workbenches scattered through The Last of Us Part 2 where the player can upgrade weapons, and here's where to find them all.
Capitol Hill Trading Card 4 of 6 – Sergeant Frost
Past the basketball court and across the street from the Bank of Meridian is a farmer’s market filled with Infected. The Sergeant Frost Trading Card can be found in a locker in the backroom.
Capitol Hill Trading Card 5 of 6 – Candelabra
Cutting through an office block and hopping some fences, you will see a Clicker get caught in an explosive trap. Clearing out any remaining Infected Runners, enter the liquor store on the left and grab the Candelabra Trading Card from the shelf in the corner.
Capitol Hill Trading Card 6 of 6 – Bizarrebra
Later, after finding a dead horse and more Infected, you will be forced to cut through a dojo to avoid triggering more tripwires. Exiting through the hole in the wall, enter the thrift store across the street and take the Bizzarebra Trading Card from the children’s bookshelf.
Seattle Day 1 – Channel 13: Trading Card Location
There is only one Trading Card in this subchapter, which begins when Ellie and Dina arrive at the TV Station as they search for Leah.
Channel 13 Trading Card 1 of 1 – Kimimela
After finding the lynch victims in the newsroom, shimmy across a ledge outside and re-enter the building. The Kimimela Trading Card is located on a desk at the far end of the hallway.
Seattle Day 1 – The Tunnels: Trading Card Locations
Following a fraught chase out of the TV Station, Ellie and Dina must contend with more monsterous Infected in the tunnels beneath the city. There are three Trading Cards in this chapter of The Last of Us Part 2.
The Tunnels Trading Card 1 of 3 – The Imp
A well-hidden Trading Card, The Imp is found after fighting through some Clickers and sealing yourself in a subway car. Squeezing through some broken doors, crawl beneath the car to progress where you’ll hear some distant fighting. Before entering the flare-lit room, dig through the trash bags beneath the subway car on the left to find this Card.
The Tunnels Trading Card 2 of 3 – Dr. Daniela Star
After fighting past your first pair of Shamblers, head down the long service tunnel and take the first door on the right. Crawl beneath the desks on the right side of the room and work your way round to find the Dr. Daniela Star card on a desk behind a gate.
The Tunnels Trading Card 3 of 3 – Bastet
Making your way past even more Shamblers and Runners, you will exit out onto some more subway tracks. Cutting through the trainwreck, before using the vending machine to climb further, crawl inside the collapsed car on the left and grab the Bastet Trading Card from a suitcase.
Seattle Day 1 – The Theatre: Trading Card Locations
The penultimate chapter of Seattle Day 1 begins as you enter the Pinnacle Theatre after escaping from the Infected in the subway. This location has two Trading Cards.
The Theatre Trading Card 1 of 2 – Mortem
Following a tense conversation about Dina's pregnancy, you can find this sneaky little card is hidden at the very bottom of the rightmost case behind the lobby counter, near the door leading to the theater proper. Simply smash and grab for the Mortem Trading Card.

The Theatre Trading Card 2 of 2 – Beyond
On the second floor, follow the hallway around to the barricaded door and grab the Beyond Trading Card from beneath the upended sofa.
Seattle Day 1 – The Birthday Gift: Trading Card Locations
There are two Trading Cards to be collected during the final subchapter of Seattle Day 1. This flashback begins with Ellie playing guitar in the woods.
The Birthday Gift Trading Card 1 of 2 – The Nighthawk
After swimming around and finally finding Ellie’s birthday gift, enter the museum and explore. The Nighthawk Trading Card can be found in the main hall, on the wooden bench beside the restroom, between the Dimetrodon and Triceratops displays.
The Birthday Gift Trading Card 2 of 2 – Saura
Further into the museum, this heartfelt The Last of Us chapter will take a dark turn as Joel boosts Ellie into a dimly lit nature exhibit. The Saura Trading Card is in the room with the wolves and the moose, beneath a bench on the right.
Seattle Day 2 – Hillcrest: Trading Card Locations
This part in The Last of Us 2 begins as Ellie arrives in the neighborhood of Hillcrest in search of a lone male trespasser. There are five Trading Cards in this location.
Hillcrest Trading Card 1 of 5 - Wachumero
Immediately upon arriving in Hillcrest at the start of Seattle Day 2, make a U-turn and drop into the ditch. In the collapsed road is a pickup truck; break the back window to get your hands on the Wachumero Trading Card.
Hillcrest Trading Card 2 of 5 – Sahir the Sorcerer
After mounting the upended delivery van and spotting the WLF truck, take a left through the bushes and drop down into the collapsed road. From here, jump up to the Caroline Paper Co. Store and break a window to enter. The Sahir the Sorcerer Trading Card is in a box behind the counter.
Hillcrest Trading Card 3 of 5 – Naledi the Youthful
After fighting through some enemies and solving a simple puzzle with a dumpster, you will drop down into the back of a bike shop. The Naledi the Youthful Trading Card is wedged in the spokes of a bike wheel in the corner of the room.
Hillcrest Trading Card 4 of 5 – Brainstorm
Pushing further into Hillcrest, head up the stairs beside the dead Clicker where Ellie will react to a loud explosion. Clear out any nearby infected at the top and hop a fence in the far corner to progress. In the backyard, take the Brainstorm Trading Card from the back of a playhouse.
Hillcrest Trading Card 5 of 5 – Reverb
Upon obtaining the bow from the Stalker, you will enter a large arena filled with WLF soldiers and their dogs. Work your way down the street towards the large yellow house, number 1214, and head upstairs. Enter the second bedroom with the ensuite bathroom and take the Reverb Trading Card from under the bed.
Seattle Day 2 – Finding Strings: Trading Card Location
There is only one Trading Card in the Finding Strings chapter of The Last of Us Part 2, which begins after the Hillcrest car chase sequence when we flashback to a day out with Tommy in the woods around Jackon.
Finding Strings Trading Card 1 of 1 – The Austringer
On the way to the music store with Joel, after hitching the horses, climb onto the red U-Move trailer and down into the collapsed road. The Austringer Trading Card is on the back seat of a car in the ditch.
Seattle Day 2 – The Seraphites: Trading Card Locations
The Seraphites begins as Ellie makes the decision to head to the hospital to find Nora, another of Joel’s killers. There are six Trading Cards in this section of the game.
The Seraphites Trading Card 1 of 6 – Randy Styles
Taking Route 5 towards the hospital, you’ll cut through a FEDRA checkpoint and drop into a convenience store. The Randy Styles Trading Card is on a shelf to the right of the checkout counters.
The Seraphites Trading Card 2 of 6 – Shift
Back out on the street, enter the conference center across the street from the bar. Inside, pass the Journal Entry location climb the ladder in the elevator shaft, and smash the window next to the locked double doors. Next, use a brick, bottle, or other ranged weapon to smash some glass in the awning above the window. Then, take the noose hanging over the nearby balcony and throw it through the hole you have created in the awning. Finally, use that rope to swing into the conference room behind the locked door. The Shift Trading Card is on some seating near a duffel bag.
The Seraphites Trading Card 3 of 6 – Star Sign
Further down Route 5, after passing under the skyway, take a left towards the apartment block. Go downstairs at the locked door and crawl into the basement laundry room. Heading up to the second floor, break the window dead ahead and vault out onto the canopy. Jump left and smash your way into an apartment with a locked door. In an end table drawer in the back bedroom is the Star Sign Trading Card.
The Seraphites Trading Card 4 of 6 – Arch-Enemy
After solving another dumpster puzzle, Ellie will spot the hospital and you’ll break into the Seattle Conference Center. Dropping down some scaffolding, throw something through the elevated window leading to the room below where you entered. Climb inside the office and take the Arch-Enemy Trading Card from a desk drawer near the door.
The Seraphites Trading Card 5 of 6 – Doppelganger
Later in The Seraphites chapter, past the Stalkers and the sewers, you’ll come face to face with the Seraphites themselves after a rather rude introduction. Fighting your way through the park, enter the Garden Suites on the far side and head upstairs. The Doppelganger Trading Card is on the floor on the landing.
The Seraphites Trading Card 6 of 6 – Bhat M’Andarr
In the aftermath of your first face-off with a Brute-type Scar, you’ll head to the roof of a makeup store and Ellie will spot the hospital. Dropping down a ladder into the water below, swim to the left and take the stairs up to Weston’s Pharmacy (a store chain first seen in the Left Behind DLC.) Inside, on a shelf in front of the counter, is the Bhat M’Andarr Trading Card.

Seattle Day 3 – Road to the Aquarium
Following a devastating revelation in a flashback to St. Mary’s Hospital, Ellie will wake up back in the theatre and will look around for her friends. There are four Trading Cards along the Road to the Aquarium.
Road to the Aquarium Trading Card 1 of 4 – Esquire
After a revelatory flashback, you'll wake up at the theater, leave the dressing rooms, and cut through the backstage decorations, approaching the stage curtain. Before going through them, look left and take the Esquire Trading Card from the tour case.
Road to the Aquarium Trading Card 2 of 4 – Tormentra
Later, Jessie and Ellie will arrive at a roadblock and be forced to cut through a nearby building. Entering the backrooms, crawl beneath some fallen filing cabinets opposite the blue double doors and grab the Trading Card for Tormentra from a desk in the office.
Road to the Aquarium Trading Card 3 of 4 – Tanger
Swimming through a collapsed road, Ellie and Jesse will boost themselves into a large bookstore. Dropping down from the second floor, the Tanger Trading Card is beneath the rubble of a collapsed floor.
Road to the Aquarium Trading Card 4 of 4 – Tatuaje
Spotting the boat with Jesse, drop down into the skyway and run past the Ruston Coffee. In the dilapidated storage room, hop over the shelves on the left. Look back to find the Tanger Trading Card on the middle shelf.
Seattle Day 3 – The Flooded City: Trading Card Locations
The Flooded City segment of The Last of Us Part 2 begins when Ellie secures a boat and makes her way towards the Aquarium. There are two Trading Cards to search for in this chapter.
The Flooded City Trading Card 1 of 2 – Seff-L’ho’phad
When coming across your first obstacle in the boat, get out and walk through the door near the rapids. Seff-L’ho’phad’s Trading Card is in a desk drawer in the corner of the room.
The Flooded City Trading Card 2 of 2 – Khazakh Bright
Nearing the end of The Flooded City, you’ll go up against a familiar foe in the bowels of a derelict arcade. After vanquishing the Infected, lift the shutter on the Prize Zone and vault the counter. The Kazakh Bright Trading Card is under the counter, to the right.

Santa Barbara – Pushing Inland: Trading Card Location
As you rejoin Ellie in Santa Barbara aboard Abby and Lev’s sailboat, you journey further inland on the quest for vengeance. There is only one Trading Card to find during this subchapter.
Pushing Inland Trading Card 1 of 1 – CBB-73
Making your way past some Infected, enter a mansion courtyard and climb up to the roof with the Clicker. Vault through the window and take a right into the bedroom with the green curtains. The CBB-73 Trading Card is on a desk inside.
Santa Barbara – The Resort: Trading Card Location
The last Trading Card in The Last of Us Part 2 is found in The Resort chapter, which begins with Ellie examining her new stitches.
The Resort Trading Card 1 of 1 – Sparkthug
To find the Sparkthug Trading Card, enter the Rattler’s resort plantation by crawling through a chainlink fence. In the area with the guard taunting the tied-up Runner, clear the courtyard of enemies and enter the building at the far end. This last Trading Card is on a console table to the right.
