The Isle is an open-world survival video game that allows players to fulfill the impossible yet common childhood dream of being a dinosaur. Players can perform the daily routine of a dinosaur that involves getting food, finding water, and surviving the numerous unforgiving dangers of the world. While living the dinosaur lifestyle is fun and intriguing, players will eventually find it to become tedious and lackluster. Those looking for a more engaging and riveting experience should consider the Evrima Branch of The Isle.

There are currently two distinct versions of The Isle: the Legacy or base game and the Evrima Branch or in-development beta. When players first start playing, their game will be in the Legacy version, which offers the basics but lacks the polish and improvements of the Evrima Branch. Those looking for more can join the in-development beta but doing so is not a readily apparent and straightforward process. To make the transition from the Legacy version seamless and get players started, here is how to play Evrima in The Isle.

In addition to various updates and revisions, the Evrima Branch features countless bug fixes, quality of life implements, and graphic improvements unseen in the Legacy version. These differences make the game much smoother and more pleasing to the eye, which are the most substantial critics that players have with the base game. Players seeking a more dynamic experience or a better game overall should look to the Evrima Branch. Not only will they enjoy it more, but they can contribute to the in-development beta also.

The Isle is available on PC.
