Fans are enjoying The Hunting Wives, the Netflix thriller series that is based on the book by May Cobb. The series has an 80% rating on Rotten Tomatoes and 67% on the Popcornmeter. As a fan of May Cobb's work, which includes the equally fun thrillers My Summer Darlings and A Likable Woman, I couldn't wait to check out the Netflix adaptation of The Hunting Wives, and I wasn't disappointed. The tension between the rich and less well-off characters and the power that Margo wields kept me coming back. With only eight episodes, it's a fairly quick watch, too.

The Hunting Wives features a smart twist at the very end, and even those who read the book will be shocked by what happens. However, even before that point, fans are caught up in the fascinating lives of these rich characters.

In an interview with Variety, Rebecca Cutter, the showrunner of the series, shared her ideas for a second season of The Hunting Wives. She said season 2 could focus even more on the dynamic between Sophie and Margo and explained:

"where are these two women at the start? Where are they at the end? What are the peaks and valleys of their individual power, of their relationship? So it’s tracking a course for that, and then figuring out what the crime engine is.”

Cutter also said that The Hunting Wives season 2 could feature another murder that has to be solved, which is also a smart idea. While there are a few murder mystery series on Netflix, The Hunting Wives stands out thanks to its clever twists and fast pace. It's easy to imagine the show continuing for several more seasons.
