With the CW’s The Flash coming to an end, fans have been clamoring for news about the Arrowverse’s biggest show, the Arrow spinoff that lasted a full season longer than its big brother, wondering who all amongst the DC TV universe will stop by to make their fond farewells, especially old fan favorites like Cisco Ramon (Carlos Valdes), Barry Allen’s (Grant Gustin) former bestie.

TVLine put a line out to Valdes to see what the former Flash regular had to say about the possibility of making a cameo appearance in the show’s final season, and whether or not fans can expect it.

Fans wondering about the cast lineup for the final season of long-running CW actioner The Flash have had their appetites whetted with the news that besides John Diggle (Dave Ramsey), Wally West (Keiynan Lonsdale), and Stephen Amell’s Oliver Queen/Green Arrow as the writers and producers try to go all out on pleasing the loyal fanbase that’s made the series such a boon over the almost-decade it’s been airing. It’s also why people have been wondering about Cisco Ramon, Barry’s old bestie who dropped out of the series to go off and work for A.R.G.U.S. In the seventh season.

Appearing at the television Critics Association to promote his new Hulu musical comedy Up Here with Mae Whitman. After pointing out that the stars above had already wrapped their upcoming episodes, TVLine turned to the question of Cisco returning to say goodbye in a bigger way than officiating Allen’s vows. “I just don’t know,” was the answer he gave to the question o whether fans would see him and Barry paired again. Whether or not this was an Andrew Garfield Spider-Man: No Way Home-style denial or simple honesty isn’t clear at this time.

While the CW won’t comment either way (which of course not, they’re trying to get fans old and new to tune in for each new cameo), Valdes did add that he couldn’t see a way for his character not to be included in the series’ wrap-up one way or another. The multiverse-spanning series is coming to a close one way or another and there are guaranteed to be any number of unannounced returns by fan favorites as well. It’s going to be up to fans of The Flash to find out if Valdes’s Cisco will rejoin Gustin’s Allen one more time.

The final season of The Flash will drop on February 8, 2023.
