Embark Studios has teased The Finals' Season 6 on social media while assuring fans that the team wants to create a medieval map set in Stockholm. Some of The Finals’ development team members recently held an AMA, revealing some of their future plans and ideas for the game.

Embark Studios’ executive producer Rob Runesson and creative director Gustav Tilleby, along with other development team members, recently conducted an AMA on Reddit teasing another season of The Finals while shedding light on some of their ideas for the game’s future. Little to nothing was revealed about Season 6, though Embark mentioned that the team is very excited about the idea of developing a medieval map. Runesson explained that, considering Sweden's history, Embark would be pleased to bring a medieval map set in Stockholm’s Old Town at some point in the future.

Another player inquired about plans to add more PowerShift maps to The Finals, and the lead environment artist responded that the team is exploring the possibility of adding more in the future. They also emphasized that players should “stay tuned” for more updates coming soon.

One player was curious about skins, asking the developer if it plans to let players randomize them on The Finals’ weapons, as they’d like to avoid manually switching skins between games. Embark responded that this feature is high on the executive producer's priority list, but he hasn’t gotten to it yet.

Addressing The Finals’ difficult year and its sharp drop in player counts, a fan asked Embark if it has any plans to turn things around. Oscar, from the CX Team, took this question and stated that Embark has marketing plans to attract new players, as the studio aims to bring in players from across all regions. As fans wait for more information about Season 6, there are still some interesting things to look forward to in The Finals.
