Embark Studios has revealed its highly-anticipated multiplayer shooter The Finals will be receiving a closed beta test next month with a flashy new trailer. The developer first revealed the upcoming shooter late last year, showing off cinematic environments and flashy visuals for the multiplayer team-based game. Early video from The Finals' pre-alpha trailer featured a variety of impressive elements including fully destructible environments and fast-paced frantic gameplay. Now, Embark is opening up the game to even more players with a closed beta coming soon.

Embark Studios officially confirmed the second closed beta test for The Finals will be coming next month alongside the debut of a gorgeous new trailer. The first closed beta test for the team-based shooter will begin on March 7 with hopeful players able to request access to the beta through The Finals' Steam page. No details were given about what features the closed beta test will contain or whether the game will eventually be made available on consoles. Embark also did not confirm how long the game's first closed beta test will run

The newest trailer for The Finals showed off much of the same flashy and fast-paced gameplay as previous trailers, thrusting players into the combat-focused life-or-death game show. The Finals puts its fully destructible environments on display for the trailer, featuring chunks of buildings being blown apart and raining down on players. The game also features high degrees of movement, showcasing players swinging from building to building using grappling hooks and traversing the map using parkour elements. The game even features some special moves and items like characters smashing through floors and using riot shields.

The Finals' impending release comes into tough competition in an FPS world dominated by both battle royales and genre mainstays. EA DICE recently revealed its fourth competitive season for popular shooter Battlefield 2042 featuring a new map and specialist. Call of Duty has also continued to produce massively successful games with the franchise releasing its newest game, Modern Warfare 2, in October of last year. With flashy presentation and action-packed gameplay, The Finals will look to show off its unique flair with its first closed beta next month.
