Oblivion Remastered: A List Of The DLC Locations

Oblivion Remastered features all of the DLCs that were present in the original; here are all the DLC locations that players can find.

Some of these special locations are connected to quests or Daedric lore, but some are just fun, different, and interesting. Players who are familiar with other Bethesda titles, such as Skyrim, The Elder Scrolls 3: Morrowind, or The Elder Scrolls Online, will already be familiar with these famous locations in Oblivion Remastered or the people and events associated with them.

7 Shadeleaf Copse

The Magic Of Nirnroot

Oblivion Shadeleaf_Copse
  • Location: Northeast of Skingrad.

A pond in the woods marks this quaint and peaceful woodland oasis, complete with a central boulder and several Nirnroot plants. The special herbs here are the reason this place exists, and in case players don't find it by accident, a friendly NPC named Sinderion in Skingrad can mark it on the map as part of the "Seeking Your Roots" quest.

"Seeking Your Roots" is automatically triggered the first time the player picks up some Nirnroot, a special plant that makes a high-pitched sound, making it easier to find. Shadeleaf Copse is part of how the player learns that this useful and valuable plant grows near water, so when Sinderion asks for 20 more of it, they'll know where to look.

6 Dragonclaw Rock

Find The Draconian Madstone

Oblivion Dragonclaw_Rock
  • Location: At the end of the road that leads north past Bruma.

Most players will find this quest when Countless Narina Carvain sends them here to find the Draconian Madstone for the quest "Lifting the Viel." To the untrained eye, Dragonclaw Rock looks like a pile of rubble, but from a certain higher angle, it looks like a giant dragon's claw.

Oblivion Remastered Best Settlements
Oblivion Remastered: 7 Best Settlements Worth Finding

A lot of interesting settlements can be found between Cyrodiil's main cities in Oblivion Remastered. Players should start by finding these.

There's an underground tunnel here that goes to Pale Pass and the stash where the Countess' stolen goods are being stored, and once her property is returned, she'll feel better about selling the player a local home. For those adventurers who want to keep exploring, the road north continues from the landmark even though it doesn't show up on the map. It's a more primitive trail, but it goes all the way along the north coast to Frostcrag Point and eventually to Cheydinhal.

5 Gnoll Mountain

The Road To Frostcrag Spire

Oblivion Remastered_ How to Get to Frostcrag Spire feature image
  • Location: In the Jerrel Mountains between Bruma and Cheydinhal.

Gnoll Mountain is the tallest natural point in Cyrodil, so those who like scenic views and taking screenshots are strongly recommended to visit. Players who have the Wizard's Tower DLC have an even higher vantage point to see from when they find and furnish their own magical wizard stronghold, Frostcrag Spire, which is located nearby.

Other than being scenic or hiding a misanthropic magic user, there are a few other things to do up here, especially for acting members of the Dark Brotherhood. The quest "The Coldest Sleep" leads to a lonely campsite nearby, where a runaway Nord awaits justice for some poor life choices.

4 Cloud Top

Connected To The Chorrol Mages Guild

Oblivion Cloud_Top
  • Location: In the hills northwest of Chorrol.

This is another picturesque location with some impressive views, but players who are active members of the Mages Guild can come here for a quest. "Finger of the Mountain" starts in the Chorrol Mages guild with an NPC named Teekeeus, who is suspicious of an ex-Mage wandering around town. Her name is Earana, and the player can choose to take her side in a fight over a lost book.

The graphical overhaul that Oblivion Remastered received resulted in some especially beautiful locations throughout Cyrodiil.

No matter who the player decides to return to the book to at the end of the quest, they need to get Earana's notes before making a final decision. Then it's possible to return to Cloud Top and do some fancy incantations to learn the Finger of the Mountain spell, which can do 200 points of Shock damage at Mastery level.

3 Old Bridge

Nirnroot And Dead Drops

Oblivion Old_Bridge
  • Location: Follow the red Ring Road south of the Imperial City.

It's an easy and scenic ride south of the Imperial City, just a nice place to stop and pick up some Nirnroot, until it's time to finish a quest for the Dark Brotherhood. The quest is called "Final Justice," and it's the player's chance to dispatch a dangerous psychotic.

The details of the assignment are only revealed through a dropped note underneath the Old Bridge, which the aspiring assassin will only be able to find if they're part of the clandestine organization. The target is Shaleez, and she's hiding in the nearby Flooded Mine. It's not completely flooded, but a water-breathing potion or enchanted piece of gear makes this easier, because she attacks while swimming.

2 Harcane Grove

Hircine And The Unicorn

Oblivion Unicorn cropped
  • Location: North of Bravil, east of the Inn of Ill Omen.

For those who have yet to join the Dark Brotherhood and find the Inn of Ill Omen, Harcane Grove is north of Bravil. This is where Cyrodil's legendary unicorn makes its home, and although it's guarded by three hostile minotaurs, they will only attack the player if they have a weapon drawn.

Oblivion Remastered: The Best Side Quest To Do In Each City

Oblivion's new remaster is chock-full of fun side quests to do. Here are the best ones of each main city in the game!

2

There's a quest to kill the Unicorn courtesy of Hircine's Daedric quest, and it's a difficult beast to slay, especially if the player doesn't have any enchanted weapons. It's only possible to start the quest at level 17 after the player has honored Hircine with a gift at their Daedric shrine, which is located in the woods south of the Imperial City.

1 Mouth Of The Panther

Put The Forlorn Watchman To Rest

Oblivion The_Mouth_of_the_Panther
  • Location: South of Bravil, at the mouth of the Panther River.

Folks in Bravil will tell the player about a ghostly presence wandering along the shoreline near the city walls at night. Seek out this figure after dark, and he'll tell a sad story about the Mouth of the Panther and his former life as a sailor. This is the name of an inlet southeast of Bravil, and it's home to a shipwreck, the Emma May, where The Forlorn Watchman waits to be put to his final rest.

The Forlorn Watchman's real name is Blakely, and once his dead body is freed, his ghost reappears and gives the player a map to the ship's considerable loot pile. Other than a handsome cache of gold, there's also jewelry, soul gems, and one random magical weapon.
