The sun hasn't even set on Harry Bosch's saga yet, but Maggie Q's Ballard spin-off is already being promoted, with the official release of the teaser trailer. As expected, Harry Bosch makes an appearance in the first-look clips, despite only featuring in three cameo appearances, while the fans get an insight into brand-new characters like Thomas Laffont (played by John Carroll Lynch). Renee Ballard will make her debut in the upcoming final episode of Bosch: Legacy season 3, which will air tomorrow, and it'll see the pair of relentless detectives investigating one of Harry Bosch's white whale cases. The trailer for Ballard sees the titular main character riding the waves in the sea, like she does in Connelly's books, and addressing an ongoing issue with the LAPD.
