Crunchyroll announced on Wednesday that the second season of the anime adaptation of TurtleMe and Fuyuki23's hit fantasy light novel series, The Beginning After the End (TBATE). Crunchyroll further revealed that the second season of The Beginning After The End will be released next Spring, with a brand-new exclusive post-credits scene from the upcoming finale of the first season previewing main character Arthur Leywin's new appearance ahead of season 2.

The final episode of The Beginning After the End season 1 is set to broadcast next Wednesday, June 18 at 10:25 a.m. PT / 1:25 p.m. ET, but the clip that previews his new look in season 2 has been made available to view on Crunchyroll's official YouTube Channel.

TBATE follows the new life of King Grey after he dies a mysterious death and is reborn as Arthur Leywin on the magical continent of Dicathen. Arthur retains the wisdom from his previous life as King Grey, and sets out on an adventure to learn the ins and outs of magic while seeking to correct the mistakes he made in his past life. The series is directed by Keitarō Motonaga (The Kingdoms of Ruin) at studio A-CAT, with series composition by Takamitsu Kōno (A Returner's Magic Should Be Special), character designs by Masami Sueoka (The Strongest Magician in the Demon Lord's Army was a Human) and music by Keiji Inai (Is It Wrong to Try to Pick Up Girls in a Dungeon?).
