Variety reported that The Bear season 4 will arrive on June 24th, 2025. While fans are excited to see new episodes continuing the dark and gripping story of Carmy Berzatto and his friends and family's dreams of running a successful restaurant, they have some thoughts about how the new season can improve on season 3.

Redditor @Visual_Cheesecake started a thread on Reddit and wrote:

"I just want season 4 to be about them winning."

The fan continued:

"Everyone just felt really lost... This season was too much like real life. A depressing slog with no point. Even their dream restaurant closed."

While The Bear has a very different tone from ensemble dramas like The Rookie, it arguably shares some similarities with Max's raw and real medical drama The Pitt. Both shows feature characters who have experienced a lot of trauma and pain and who are trying to make their dreams come true and help others while wrestling with these tough memories. Carmy isn't going to change overnight, but fans hope there is some forward momentum in the next season, or the show will risk becoming tiresome and frustrating. Sydney needs to decide which job she's keeping, at the very least, but hopefully every character will see some big changes in their lives.

For many, The Bear season 3 didn't have enough plot, and it was tough to watch the main characters struggle so much. Most of all, viewers criticized Carmy's harsh and conceited behavior last season and hope that he will become a kinder person in season 4. One fan wrote:

"I could see it as Carmy realizing that he is just becoming Chef Winger and season four is him realizing it doesn’t work and becomes more like Chef Terry and they become successful."

Although The Bear is ultimately a grounded, realistic, and moving show about dreams and the highs and lows of the restaurant industry, it's hard not to wish for a few storytelling shifts in the new season. When comparing Carmy to other leaders on TV dramas, from Mark Harmon's beloved special agent Leroy Jethro Gibbs to Eleven (Millie Bobby Brown) on Stranger Things, Jeremy Allen White's character is just as compelling and mysterious. It's unlikely that Carmy will show up to the restaurant as a completely different person in The Bear season 4 premiere. But, if he doesn't start appreciating Sydney and the others, fans will be even more frustrated.

The Bear Season 4 Will Have 10 Episodes

Carmy (Jeremy Allen White) on The Bear

In the past few years, there's been a big debate surrounding whether a TV show should be divided into two parts, like Stranger Things season 5 could be, and like Wednesday season 2 will be. Thankfully for fans, The Bear season 4 will come out all at once, and all 10 episodes will come out on Hulu (and Disney+ internationally) on June 25th, 2025. This will make for a fun binge-watching experience.

While The Bear season 1 only had eight episodes, seasons 2 and 3 also had 10 episodes. This is the perfect episode count for the dark comedy as it gives the writers room for some more creative episodes, like season 3, episode 1, "Tomorrow," which is essentially a montage of scenes of Carmy getting inspired in the kitchen of his new restaurant. Another stand-out is season 3, episode 6, "Napkins," which tells the story of how Tina (Liza Colón-Zayas) got hired at the Original Beef of Chicagoland, the sandwich shop that Carmy's older brother Mikey Berzatto (Jon Bernthal) ran before his tragic passing.
