The Bazaar is a pretty simple game by concept, but it can certainly be overwhelming for new players. Additionally, despite its simple appearance, the game hides a lot of depth when it comes to deck-building and card-matching. Only by being flexible and adjusting to different RNG draws can one succeed in getting a 10-win run. For that, here are some beginner tips for The Bazaar for players who are new and wish to know more about this auto-battler game.

Before entering a new run, players have the chance to choose which character they want to use in The Bazaar game. Every available Hero has their own playstyle and distinct cards, so it's highly recommended to try them all and see which fits your taste best.

God Of War Ragnarok: Best Kratos Builds, Ranked

Kratos can massacre yet another pantheon of gods in God of War Ragnarok rather easily if players use the best builds available to them.

However, keep in mind that due to the massive RNG in the game, you should give every character several chances. This way, you can understand each character better, know more of their available cards and combos, and most importantly, learn more about the game and what you need to do.

Some Items Are Meant To Be Sold

Items in The Bazaar aren't a simple buy-and-use, as some have certain effects. For instance, some Loot items are meant to be sold. Upon selling, these items will grant bonuses like damage bonus to damage items, Heal bonus to Heal items, and so on. However, keep in mind that they typically apply the buff to the leftmost item in your lineup, so don't forget to move your cards before selling the item.

When selling Small items with low Value, players can wait until they meet a Merchant that buys Small items for +1 Value.

Meanwhile, some items are meant to be kept. For instance, cards that give a new card upon reaching the next day can stay in the Stash (Inventory) for an endless supply of items. Some cards also increase in Value when you do certain things, meaning you can wait a little bit before selling them to get the maximum Value. There are also cards like the Temple Expedition Ticket that open a special Temple run on Day 9, after which you can sell it for a decent amount of Gold.

Cards Have Rarity And Enchantments

Cards in The Bazaar have rarity, and they can typically be upgraded up to the Diamond tier. Other than choosing the item when meeting an upgrade event, you can also upgrade an item by buying the same-rarity copy of the card, which will merge the two, upgrading it to a higher-tier card.

There are also three sizes of cards: Small, Medium, and Large. Small items only occupy one slot, Medium two slots, and Large three slots. Large items typically come with crazy effects, but that doesn't mean that you should ignore the Small ones. Sometimes, these Small ones have effects that can stack up strategically, and even be essential to support a Large item.

When playing as the Duchess in Nightreign, make sure to pick up these artifcts that make her more deadly than ever.

Finally, other than upgrading to a higher-tier or using a larger item, you'll also get the chance to Enchant an item. Enchantments can give various effects that can significantly boost your card. For instance, a damage card can also be a Shield card, where the Shield value usually follows the damage count. Similarly, damage cards can also be upgraded to have Poison or Burn effects, which usually takes a 5% Burn or Poison value according to the weapon's damage. However, remember not to be greedy and Enchant an item twice. Double Enchantment may cause the first upgrade to disappear instead of stacking up, meaning you may end up losing a powerful effect on the second Enchantment.

Don't Only Focus On Damage Items

While damage items are crucial to drain an enemy's HP, you're not bound to play with only this. For example, you can:

  • Stack up on Shield, Heal, and Regen, and try to survive until the Storm hits and out-protect your enemy.
  • Play on Shield and use an item that deals damage based on Shield.
  • Focus on Poison and Burn to disrupt Shield users.

Another tip when it comes to cards is to pay attention to item cooldowns and make sure they synergizes. For example, when playing with Stelle, she typically wants some cards to be Flying and to stop Flying. Here, you'd want to ensure the card is still Flying to perform its effect, and only stops Flying when it's already cast. Don't mash everything together, as you may end up with bad synergies.

Decks that play with Freeze, Slow, or Destroy, will greatly disrupt your flow, so make sure to have a backup plan and don't rely on only one card.

Fight The Easiest Enemy First

Your run in The Bazaar ends when you're out of Prestige. You start with 20 Prestige, and it's reduced if you lose against a Hero at the end of the Day. Losing on Day 1 means you'll lose 1 Prestige, 2 Prestige on Day 2, and so on. You can see which Day, Hour, or your current Point count on the left side of the screen. You need 10 wins for a Gold trophy, 4 for Bronze, and 7 for Silver. Winning 10 times without losing once will reward the platinum Perfect Victory.

Each Day, you'll also come across normal enemies instead of other players' Hero. Unlike losing against other players, losing against enemies won't cost you Prestige, but you may still miss out on the enemy rewards. Therefore, it's best to fight the easiest enemy until your deck is good enough for the mid-tier and top-tier foes.

Another tip for enemy battles is that each one has its gimmicks, which you can typically guess from their design. A burning monster? Likely a Burn deck. A frozen foe? Likely a Freeze deck. This way, you can avoid enemies that can counter your lineup. For instance, Shield build is weak to Poison since Poison ignores Shield.
