Gun Interactive is taking a gruesome trip back in time with the upcoming release of The Texas Chain Saw Massacre. Stylistically throwing back to the original 1974 film of the same name that birthed iconic slasher persona Leatherface, the game features the three well-known killers from the movie and two new arrivals to the Sawyer family.
The Texas Chain Saw Massacre will take a slightly different approach from Gun Interactive's other release based on a horror film, Friday the 13th, providing players with an asymmetrical 3v4 challenge that pits a team of killers against a group of would-be victims. With its launch time fast approaching, this article provides the release times for many of the globe's major time zones.
The Texas Chain Saw Massacre Release Time
The Texas Chain Saw Massacre is set for a release date of August 18, 2023, with the exception of Australia's East Coast, which can access the game from August 19. The release is scheduled to be effective for both PC and consoles simultaneously, so players will be able to sink their teeth into the latest slasher title at the same time, regardless of gaming preferences.
In a new original background story that pays homage to the original film, the game's host of victims fall unwillingly into the grasp of Leatherface and his twisted family as they attempt to find Maria Flores, the older sister of Ana, one of the Victims. With a number of different locations within Texas, players will go toe-to-toe with one another in a battle of wits as the Family attempts to capture and harvest the victims, while the Victims try everything they can to make it out alive.

The game will be available on PS4 and Xbox One, however, it is worth noting that these will not be crossplay compatible with next-gen consoles. No matter what console or gaming system players use, The Texas Chain Saw Massacre promises to provide an edge-of-the-seat, interactive horror experience.
