The master escape artist of the victims in Texas Chain Saw Massacre, Connie starts with high base proficiency and an ability that can instantly pick locks around the map. She is easily the most equipped to escape from the Family, and with the right build and knowledge of the maps, players can find themselves escaping as Connie in less than three minutes.

Connie is an excellent pick for solo players in Texas Chain Saw Massacre, as she is fully capable of escaping using many exit strategies without relying on cooperation or support from teammates.

Additionally, a strong Connie player with the right perks can single-handedly lead her whole team to freedom.

Skill Tree

TCM - Connie - skill tree

For Connie's skill tree, players will want to focus on getting to the upper left corner of the tree. Start by heading straight up to Lucky Lock Picker. From here, take a left at every split, heading towards Bomb Squad, then towards Must Have Been The Wind, then finally towards Pick On Me.

Perks

  • Tool Tracks
  • Pick On Me
  • Lucky Lockpicker
TCM - Connie - perks

Tool Tracks is a huge benefit to Connie, as she is the victim who should be taking care of most locks when the team is coordinating. Quickly finding a toolbox with Tool Tracks combined with minimal knowledge of the Basement layout can see Connie players escaping the Basement in less than a minute with two Unlock Tools in hand.

Combined with Pick On Me, which will help in opening any doors or gates for other teammates to find, rapidly getting all victims out of the decrepit downstairs lair.

For a last perk, Lucky Lock Picker is a must, giving players a 50% chance to keep an Unlock Tool after use, creating a good chance that the first two tools players acquire will be sufficient to fully escape.

Depending on escape strategy, players will typically need 3 or 4 Unlock Tools to reach freedom - if a Tool is consumed when unlocking a basement door, quickly head back towards the toolbox and acquire a replacement by leaving the basement with two Unlock Tools and Lucky Lock Picker will remove the need to stop and search for a tool once upstairs.

Attributes

  • +15 Strength
  • +9 Proficiency
  • +5 Stealth

With great starting proficiency and stealth scores, Connie is a powerhouse for solo players who can quickly and quietly make her way through locked sections of the map. Adding a few points on stealth and proficiency pushes her further into mastery of escape, with proficiency being the more valuable of the two since it affects Connie's lock-picking speed.

Connie's only real weakness in solo escape tactics is her toughness, making it difficult to open crawl spaces and incredibly dangerous to interact with generators. Pushing 15 points through toughness will balance out this weakness, setting Connie up to escape through any means, with or without her teammates.

Ability Modifiers

  • Level 1: Quicker Recharge Rate
  • Level 2: Quicker Recharge Rate
  • Level 3: No Stamina Cost
TCM - Connie - ability modifiers

For ability Modifiers, the ultimate goal is No Stamina Cost at level 3. Completely removing the stamina cost for Focused gives Connie the ability to rush to the last gate, instantly unlock it, and proceed to sprint to freedom, even if being chased by Family.

For the first two levels, Quicker Recharge Rate is a more valuable option, as dropping the ability cooldown to 200 seconds allows Connie to instantly unlock the basement door and have another use available by the last gate.

It is highly recommended to instantly unlock basement doors when leaving the basement for the first time, as rapidly escaping the basement while the Family is still securing the property can create confusion for the murderous pursuers and give Connie the chance to escape with minimal interference.
